AGAIN

Run on the waves.

Dance in the rain.

Sing in the desert.

Breathe on the plain.

Revel in the dusk.

Merge into evening.

Play among the stars.

Smile in the morning.

Do it all over…again!

Walking Alice wanted to explore life’s road, to learn. Time seemed short and so much was unknown. Of the Cat she asked which path would be best. Curious advice met that impossible request. “Don’t fuss with the choice, it is not the point. You’re sure to get there by walking long enough.”

Alice walked onward knowing that to walk is to live. The Cat lingered to be admired for knowledge. It was consulted by newcomers seeking a route. Always posing - a little aloof at the crossroad; deeply flexible, the cat was too afraid to decide. Yet a traveler must choose a path, walk and live.

Alice encountered many new things on her way. Some were a delight and others quite a fright. But she walks onward because to walk is to live. To discover with an excited tear is best of all. She keeps fit, so to be healthy and a little wise. And the Cat talks to newcomers collecting around.

“It would be nice” she confided with the sky “If there were other cats for me to pass by. Near each place one might want to turn back!” “What good would that do?” asked the sky. “Oh, maybe none but at least I could talk and be reminded that to live is to walk.”

A traveler upon the path needs company, -best some making their journey too; those others meeting the test in life's walk.

Watch the leaves of the maple turn red, and then float to the ground. Flow with the cycles of nature that pass, making barely a sound.

See the shadows of the forest transform on each dawning day.

Let your soul breathe! Set it free! And cause it to fly: to paint its unique colors against the wide summer sky; outline the great White Mountain that stands serene and high; and set a focus for others that respond with kindred cry.

Reach for the cup of wisdom, drink deep and share it around.

Stand free at the edge to measure the depth in life; so dear.

Feel the warmth of the sun and let it drive your cares away. Savor every blossom. Touch the breeze that makes it sway.

Climb the ridge and experience the vision brilliantly clear.

Hear the still of the night and let your imagination play.

Bathe in the Pool of Reflection, so deep and profound.

Depart the crowds in twisted valleys carved by fear, beneath frosty blankets of mist that swirl, ever near.

Up that ladder, meters tall, MY PROJECT I climbed the daunting wall. Felt a breeze cross my face and tasted the stretch of space. But my foot missed a rung - and stark reality had come!

A four letter word cannot be nice, yet we each have to roll its dice. Away to jail for seeing the lure, to stay banished until cure! Enclosed by a wall we just hate, we endure our lonely wait.

Echoes ringing through my head repeat every word that was said! The noise continues to grow without end, unlikely to slow; until my ears embrace its pain. And then; every day is the same.

But letters in other sets of four can usher you to an outer door and repair the hurt where you fell imprisoned by your private hell. Flee that cold darkened room. Go draw with light, not doom.

Reset the odds of your inner race, painting magic across your face. Reach places new, far and wide where devils of fear cannot hide. Learn to share; to talk and hear. Lift your mind to erase the fear.

Don’t weep for absent cure but let hope run entirely pure. And look for life that is long. Sing the tune of a happy song. Show you care; help and be kind. Ride the wind and defy time

PASSAGE Feel the delight as bold color fills the sky, flowing in waves overhead, caressing the land. Absorb day’s early warmth with fond hope of sharing a new journey with another. We ascend to the greatest height when dear companions guide our sight. Smile as the sun assumes control above, while life on the ground sways to a melody that nature has composed with true care. Join the brimming tide at its very peak so a surging current might whisk you away. We enjoy fun of the deepest kind when others’ friendship molds our mind. Follow the tones as day rides into dusk. Notice warmth highlight the distant clouds and cling longingly, from beyond the horizon. See the blush linger and drift to wistful hues after the sun has slipped and day is gone. Don’t hold gentle memories to your own; love grows from seeds you have sown. CMP Chimacum, 10th Dec. 2008

KUPEREE Mt. Grenfell

Page 14: At Luna Stage

Kuperee (To contemplation) Life begins in trust and innocence, a moment naked before the chase. Purpose molded and wrought by heat in direction shaped with relentless haste. Striving for a place we won’t belong: where fire is smothered by darkness without any tracks leading back, and none ahead to strike upon. Stay awhile and absorb the distance: Touch wisdom at this desert’s edge renewed by wash of legend while time floats idly on some distant horizon. Observe how frail and intricate forms, though brushed upon shifting sands, forge into solid enduring hearth with strength to bear our dearest plans. The rock may stand aloof and proud, independent and tauntingly free; an image no more than a mighty pretense that will erode impassively. Variety nurtures and strengthens the Earth, giving no permanent domain. Each dawn blushes and waits for us to value the source whence we came. So play amid the shimmering visions that glide on the heat across the plain. Thrill to the vibrant rhythms of nature tallied in the beat of drumming rain. Let the powers arouse every sense. Hold the passion for living: the deep agony in human despair and the ecstasies equally intense. CMP 21st June 2007

ALONE Boonoo Boonoo Gorge

Page 16: At Luna Stage

ALONE (To identity) How would you feel deep inside if your children were stolen? Oh you’d cry and continue to wail after your eyes were swollen, and still you’d scream out aloud until the very skies were shaken, but in the end you would be alone, so empty and forsaken. Another, having assumed control would own your deepest love. So the Earth would die a little every time their stars shone above. Feel the itch that grows from knowing you are somehow different; keeping you quite alone; when a river of care is not sufficient. Hunger for deep tradition and yearn to hold its flooding insight. Hear the clamor of a soul that begs to uncover its birthright; to search the ages now past and sift what remains in their wake; to open the door on culture and truth no-one can ever remake. Prepare to journey together, sharing a canvas all fresh and clean: Enlighten the crevasse between what was, and might have been. Take a chance on compassion to break the rude cycle of control denying the hopes and culture that keep each individual whole. Know truth from values held within and not as others may decree. Cherish tradition and humility to ensure that all minds are free. CMP 22nd July 2008

THE EDGE Mt. Kaputar

© Colin M Perrott 2008

Page 18: At Luna Stage

The Edge (To daring) We drift at ease while our raft caresses a mountain stream and fleeting clouds on a zephyr breeze fuel an inner dream. But the waters are shifting in a steady rush – a current under, courting the ledges that hold the power to foam and thunder. Suddenly the dream is a frantic stare into plumes of violence! But a safe pool comes by chance – a fresh place of silence: Until another stealthy edge beckons to forge a new disaster playing, teasing with controlling strength, pulling ever harder. Trembling legs and startled face surrender in a dawning smile. Strength is gathered here, thinking anew – resting for a while; to savor the rush and lift of a ride that many would not survive; to feel the spray pummel our face as over that edge we dive. Our minds will command the torrent – up and away beyond reach cruising on the mighty surge; growing from what it has to teach. Works of relentless time are exposed by the speeding flood. An ancient world transforms from bare rock to soil and mud. Great spires and fine decoration are carved by steady resolve. Spring flowers blossom; to spread as forgotten barriers dissolve. They paint the crumbling past in daubs of fresh and varied hue. A world of steady change is designed to ensure life will renew. Though clouds speed high and far, they always lag behind; unable to reach the amazing places home to a daring mind. CMP 15th April 2008

One Journey

We are from the one Earth and we make the one Journey. The future we share is molded in the attitudes we hold today.

We are bound as one; our destinies inseparable.

We smile from the same joy and weep with the same tears. We love with the same passion and shiver from the same fears.

Our minds explore the same wonders from deep inside.

Together, we can harness the power to create wisely; To forge a time where hope and sorrow find sensitivity;

and understanding is much more than a word.
