C h r i s t m a s L i g h t s S w i t c h - o n29th Nov, 5.30pm. The Moor

Falmouth Christmas lights switch-on is a magical evening.

The evening starts when schoolchildren representing the town’s primary schools, gather on Events Square with decorations and colourful withy lanterns. They are joined by a community choir and band and of course Santa before processing through the town towards The Moor.

Once on The Moor, each school sings a Christmas carol on the state-of-the-art-stage before the big switch-on. The evening is organised by the Falmouth Town Team as always and compered by Pirate FM.

The Falmouth Christmas lights are switched on each year by a nominated community champion. This is a person or group who after a public vote, gets to switch on the lights for that year.

The evening is also the first of Falmouth’s late-night shopping evenings when participating stores in the town will be open up until 8pm.

The exciting new Falmouth Christmas Bus will also be unveiled on The Moor!

M i r a c l e T h e a t r e p r e s e n t s A l a d d i n7th Dec – 5th Jan. Princess Pavilion

Following their past sell-out productions, Miracle are back at Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion with a new and not to be missed Christmas show suitable for all, Aladdin!

Every Christmas for the last 50 years, the Willoughby-Brown family have gathered at their country seat in Cornwall to eat, drink, laugh and bicker and, with the help of their loyal staff, to provide their own entertainment in the form of a home-made pantomime. This year, as an act of seasonal charity, the family has decided to embrace the epithet of ‘great art for everyone’. Stopping short of actually allowing the general public to soil the carpets of their splendid house, they have offered to install themselves on the stage of the Princess Pavilion, where they invite you to assemble and share their unique interpretation of the oriental fairy-tale Aladdin.
