He came 4 th overall in the heats and will be running in the finals today. Best wishes to Keanu for his finals. We are very proud of his achievements. StageOneSwimSchemeNoteshavebeensentoutthisweekforourStageOneIntensiveSwimmingProgram.WearegratefulthatanumberofExpressionsofInteresthavebeenreturned,however,wehavenotreachedourallottednumberofpositionsofferedbyBlueFitatHurstvilleAquaticCentre.Unfortunately,ournumbershavebeendecreasingoverthepastfewyearsasinterestinthisvaluableprogramisdropping.IfwedonotmeettherequirednumberofpositionsthatareofferedbyBlueFit,thecostingswillincreasesignificantlyperchildandthereispotentialfortheprogramtobecancelledinthecomingyears.Swimmingisanextremelyimportantskillforallchildrentohave,especiallyinAustralia.Weencourageyoutocarefullyconsiderthisprogramandreturnyournotesandmoneytotheofficeassoonaspossible.Thankyou,SheridanRussellandTahnyaErkenStageOneSwimSchemeCoordinators

Stage2NewsThisTermourDanceFeverMultisportprogramhasfocusedongymnasticskills.Studentsareenjoyingtheirweeklysessionsimprovingtheirfundamentalmovementskills.Overthepastfewweekswehavebeenfocusingonstaticanddynamicbalance,verticaljumpsandmotor-bikelanding,aswellasparallelandunevenbarskillsandhavebeenlearningtoperformthesemovementsequenceswithcontrol.Wearelookingforwardtolearningmorenewskillsoverthenextfewweeks.

InScience,studentshavebeenexploringtheeffectofthesunonourEarth.Weperformedascienceexperimenttoinvestigatethesun’seffectusingspeciallightsensitivepaperandavarietyofopaqueobjects.Thesefantasticartworksprovethatthesun’senergynotonlyprovidesuswithlight,butitsheatenergywarmstheEarthandmakeschanges.
