  • ABE SYLVIA - DON LOCKWOOD - This will be Abe's third pro-duction with WVLO; he was last seen on our stage as DancingCurly in last summer's award-winning "OKLAHOMA!" and theprevious summer as a dancer in "MUSIC MAN". Abe's long list oftheatrical credits include additional performances with SJCMT,SJCLO and Lincoln High School where he has studied dancewith Debbie Wilson-Norris and drama with John P. Healy. Abehas the rare distinction of being the only male member of theprestigious Lincoln Convertibles Dance Team. He has appeared

in productions of "Me & My Girl", "George M", "42nd Street", "Grease", "Godspell" &"Li'l Abner". Abe has received a scholarship in Musical Theatre at BostonConservatory where he begins his studies this fall. Armed with this degree, he plansto pursue a career in theater. With such remarkable talent, we have confidence hewill be our "Lucky Star". We will miss Abe's versatility, congeniality and profession-alism and wish him a bright and shining future.

DEE DEE HEALY - KATHY SELDEN - Our regular audienceswill remember Dee Dee from her ERMA award-winning role asAdo Annie in last season's "OKLAHOMA!". This will be her fifthappearance on our stage including her delightful portrayals asIrene in that rollicking musical and Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in"MUSIC MAN". Once again her efforts in costuming enhanceour production and we are always pleased to have her on ourstaff. Her impressive list of theatrical credits includes 18 years oftheater in the Bay Area including her favorites: Annie in "Annie ""--.- •...••"'"""'-'""""'~Get Your Gun", Lola in "Damn Yankees" at SJ City College; Millie in SDG's "SevenBrides" and Sweet Sue in SCP's production of "Sugar". Though her Director husband,John, and her two 'children' (a Boxer and a Schnauzer) keep her busy, she still findstime to work as a Senior Human Resources Representative for Cadence Systemsand to pursue her hobby of shopping at Nordstrom's. We appreciate her wonderfulcreative talent, not just in performing, but in making us look like we just "Stepped OutOf a Dream".

TODD ARAGON - COSMO BROWN - Todd makes his debut inthis production for WVLO, but is continuing to work on the samestage since he just closed "Kiss Me, Kate" with SDG, playing therole of Bill Calhoun. Other productions on his impressive list ofcredits are "42nd Street" with Pleasanton Playhouse, "GoodNews" with Chabot College, "Gypsy" with Alameda's CabaretTheatre and "Chorus Line" with Palo Alto Players. Todd has had10 years of dance training in jazz, tap and ballet and earned hisBS Degree in Marketing at UC Berkeley. His major ambition in IL_~ '---''' __addition to "Makin' 'Em Laugh" is to choreograph as well as to play every dancerole ever written!! That's quite a goal, but certainly well within Todd's reach. Welcometo our company and we look forward to another great performance in the near future.

  • CYNTHIA HARLINE - LlNA LAMONT - Cynthia makes herdebut with WVLO, but has just completed two productions withSDG in which she portrayed Gloria Upson in "Mame" and wasthe Assistant to the Director for "Kiss Me, Kate". She holds a BAin Acting from Brigham Young University and was a professionalactress with Tad Danielewski Professional Actors Workshop. She is also a member of Theta Alpha Phi, the National DramaticHonor Fraternity. Cynthia took a four-year hiatus from theater forher two most important productions, daughter, Britta (4) and son,Ricky (2 1/2). She loves Spanish, travel, & rock climbing with

husband, Scott. Cynthia enjoys good character roles and especially likes to learnnew dialects. She likes to have fun in her roles and loves to create strange person-alities. We are very pleased to have this "Beautiful Girl" join us and hope she will havethe opportunity to create more strange characters for us in the coming seasons.

CAROLYN MANNING - DORA BAILEY - We are delighted towelcome Carolyn back to our stage after a long absence. Sheappeared in WVLO productions of "CAMELOT" and "GOODNEWS" several seasons ago. During this long interim she hasbeen very busy in Bay Area theater, not just in acting, but also indirecting and as President of Santa Clara Players (1988 to 1991).Her list of acting credits, too numerous to mention them all, include productions with SDG, SCP, Santa Clara Players, MenloPlayers, LACT, LGCP, & SJ City College. She received BestActress Awards in 1982 & 1991 as well as the Best Director Award for "Dr. Cook'sGarden" from Santa Clara Players and most recently directed their production of"Absurd Person Singular". Some of Carolyn's favorite roles are Lilliane LaFleur in"Nine", Kay in "Oh Kay", Vera Charles in "Auntie Mame" and Jane Hopcroft in"Absurd Person Singular". Her hobby is needlework which keeps her busy atrehearsals and her theatrical goal and ambition is to "keep doing theater until I drop!"We hope she keeps "Fit as a Fiddle" so she'll share her marvelous talents with us fora long time!

JOHN R. TRALONGO - R. F. SIMPSON - John just got releasedfrom the dungeon of "MAN OF LA MANCHA" in time to step intothis role, his fourth production with WVLO, the others were hismemorable performances as Charlie Cowell in "MUSIC MAN"and Andrew Carnes in "OKLAHOMA!". John has been involvedwith Community Theater since 1971 and has performed in over50 productions, including "West Side Story", ''Li'l Abner", "Guys &Dolls", and his favorite role of Oscar in "The Odd Couple". Herecently received his MBA from the College of Notre Dame and

is learning to play the piano. His hobbies are his wife, Colleen, gardening and travel.John uses his acting talents daily as a Financial Analyst at Lockheed Missiles &Space Company. "Would You" believe we are always happy to have John in ourcast!!!!

  • JOHN BISCEGLIE - ROSCOE DEXTER - Another newcomer toWVLO, John is a graduate of Lincoln High's Performing Arts andStage One, Film & TV Acting. He has performed in "Peter Pan","Pirates of Penzance", "Jesus Christ, Superstar", "Guys & Dolls"& "Chess" with SJCLO as well as comedy roles for the GaslighterTheater in Campbell. John is a free lance artist who lovesantiques, restoring his 1941 DeSoto, and producing, directingand writing comedy entertainment. His major ambition is to cre-ate and work in the world of large-scale musical productions.

With this young man's creative abilities and talents, we wish him well with thoseendeavors and have no doubts he will reach any goal he sets for himself! Of course, after awhile in the business, he may well ask himself, "What's Wrong With Me?"Welcome to our organization and we hope you will return to our stage again beforeearnestly pursuing your theatrical goals!

JOHN P. HEALY - DIRECTOR - John has directed four showsfor WVLO, with 3 of them, "IRENE", "MUSIC MAN" & "OKLA-HOMA!", winning ERMA awards for Best Show of the Season. Itis impossible to list all the credits attributed to this talented direc-tor and performer, but we will share a few. For WVLO he hasperformed the leads in "ANYTHING GOES", "STUDENTPRINCE", "HOW TO SUCCEED", and "SWEETHEARTS". Hewas the Founder/Director of SJCMT and G&S Society. He hasbeen in charge of the Performing Arts Department at AbrahamLincoln High School, Arts Magnet of SJ Unified for the past seven years and mostrecently completed a very entertaining production of "Li'l Abner". He has directedover 200 productions and worked not only as Director, but as Music Director,Choreographer, Stage Manager, Designer & Technician. When he sings "You WereMeant For Me" to his lovely wife, Dee Dee, he really means it, for they just markedthe fifth anniversary of their kidney transplant operations. Are we glad that was asuccess!!! Thanks to you and your staff for another great production, John.

DAVE CLOSE - MUSIC DIRECTOR - Dave returns to our staffafter his very successful debut with WVLO as Music Director oflast season's "OKLAHOMA!"
