This past Sunday evening, in a worship service, a Pastor shared from Acts 12 about the story of one of Peter's arrests. The passage notes that after Peter's arrest, the church came together in fervent prayer. An angel appears and calls Peter from jail, and his chains fall off. Peter then goes to where a group of Christians was assembled. The thought is about fervent prayer. We need revival and a great awakening in our land. It will only occur when we, the peo- ple of God, become fervent in prayer. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is often quoted as praying to God and Him hearing and healing our land. But, there are conditions to God's hearing. First, His people, us, must humble our- selves, get rid of our pride, and realize we are entirely dependent upon the Lord. Then we pray and seek God's face. Followed by us, God's peo- ple, turning from our wicked ways. These are the conditions for God hearing and healing our land. Men On Mission For God

    Association-wide Men’s Ministry Update

Good Morning Jesus! Thank you for blessing us in this coming year.

    Hello Men,

I come to you with the hope in Christ for good of the coming of a new year. This year will come with its own set

of challenges and blessings. We all have been burdened with having to change how we handle every new day. The days

of old are gone! Even though we have always had to change our ways to adapt to the future becoming present, we no-

tice it more prevalently in the way we must now protect ourselves. If you can relate to history, medical procedures were

performed with little to no sterilization. Now we have the knowledge and capability to understand and protect ourselves

with antiseptics and modern PPE; COVID-19 protection procedures are just an obvious way we can participate in this

technology. In the coming years we will look back on these cumbersome ways we are pro-actively trying to protect each

other and see the change as comparable to the old ring up telephones to the modern amazing gadgets we have now.

Think of how we used to see Star-Trek and all the sci-fi movies and think how incredible it would be to have the tech-

nology they portray; realizing now that we have most of it.

I believe that we will be forevermore finding new ways to live and do business. My prayer is that, as the old

brick and mortar storefronts go to the wayside, we do not lose the fellowship that comes with being able to do “REAL”

facetime. And my even bigger prayer is that we do not lose the evangelism of church. My brothers, it is more important

now to share the love of Christ than ever. With many not returning to church and many churches not re-opening, I feel

that many lives are going to fade to black if we do not take a stand and plead for the lives of the lost. We must be about

our Fathers will. With the threat of loss of life, we must ultimately be prepared for our life with Christ. If you are not

100% sure of where you will spend eternity if you were to die now, then please speak up and ask the question you need

to ask! How do I become a Christian with the complete assurance that I will spend forever with Jesus? It is complete

surrender. Satan is always going to plant seeds of doubt, but trust in Christ and know that He has a plan for your life.

For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Give of yourself

to the Master and be a Christian in your heart. God Loves You and wants to be your everything. Look out because the

time is short, and all the prophecies are coming to pass.

I am praying for you all. Your brother in Christ,

    Steve West

    James 4:14

Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

Please be in prayer for churches in our association searching for pastors:

Hello everyone. I pray that the Christmas season was one of great blessing for

you and your family. What a great God we serve!

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10, "Whether, then, you eat or drink or what-

ever you do, do all to the glory of God." I think this is a great verse for all of us

to meditate on in 2021. We sang a song last Sunday that I believe could be

helpful to us as we seek to live out glorifying God in all we do. The title of the

song is Lord, Be Glorified. It was written by Bob Kilpatrick and published in

1978. I won't print all of the words here in this letter, but I want to give you the

main thought of the song. It is a song asking that God be glorified in my life,

my song, and in His church. We added a few verses that I believe help us to be

more specific in what we are saying to God in this song. We sang, In my

thoughts Lord be glorified, In my words Lord be glorified, and In my work

Lord be glorified. I think that these verses have helped me with prayer points

each day. We will not do this perfectly, but what a great way to start this year

by asking that God would be glorified in my thoughts, words, work, home,

song, in His church, and in my life.

    Keep Singing,

    Keith Beasley
