How to login to the Wifi
If you want to access Wi-Fi on your laptop, just do the following.
There are 2 simple steps
1. Connect to the DIT Wi-Fi
Click on this icon in the right bottom of your screen
ditwifi
Click on ‘ditwifi’
This should pop up. If not, just give it a minute and search for something in the search box.
Just type in your login (Student Number) and your password is your date of birth, but you can change it afterwards.
2. Open your Browser e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari…..

Organise your webpages:
Add a folder to your browser.Right click on the browser headerAnd click on ‘Add folder’.Now you can place your webpage links in this folder.
Chrome allows you to drag folders into your Google drive.

Getting the most from your Gmail account
Your Student Gmail account will look like this.
When you enter your Gmail account you see the mails that have been sent to you.

Drive
Inside Google Drive:
Google Drive allows you to save documents in the cloud.
So far I have one document called ‘How to get started with Drive’.
Inside Google Drive:
Click on the red button called ‘Create’.
Create a folder in your Drive by clicking Folder. Then name it.
Click on ‘Document’ to write up an assignment. This has all the features you need to write an essay.
Click on ‘Presentation’ to create a presentation for class. It has all the features you need.
‘Spreadsheet’ is like Excel and ‘Form’ is for surveys.
