Secured Network Design [WIT2050] Assignment WIT2050/2011 Overview You have been engaged as a consultant to design and formulate a secure IT infrastructure  plan for Coho Unity, a pharmaceutical business. Coho Unity’s headquaters office is in Singapore and recently, they have plans to set up two more branch offices in Vancouver (Branch Office 1) and Perth (Branch Office 2). As its business operation has started to expand in the region, Coho Unity’s CEO believes that IT security implementation is necessary to safeguard the organization’s rapid growth. Coho Unity’s CEO has provided you with the current (Appendix A) and proposed (Appendix B) network diagrams. He identified some key problems in his current infrastructure. Problem areas: All domain controllers and servers are currently running Windows 2000 and have to be migrated to Windows 2008. Some users use non-complex passwords and no password policies in place. All communication within and between HQ and branch offices has to be encrypted. All servers have to be secured a nd protected. Users from branch office need to access resources from HQ. This communication has to be secured as well. Include other security solutions that must be in place to ensure, Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA). Overview

You have been engaged as a consultant to design and formulate a secure IT infrastructure

•Design a secured network for the organization – 20%

• Propose a migration strategy including tools to use – 15%

• Critically evaluate the derived design and suggest improvements – 20%

• Develop a security network implementation and administration strategy for thederived design – 20%

• Critically evaluate the developed strategy and suggest improvement – 15%

• Presentation – 10%

Deliverables

• Report includes documentation of secured network design, implementation and

administration.

• This report should be professional in its nature and of a high standard and quality.
