What we learned: We learned the difference between

CONNEXION and Firstsearch.

We learned to create narrow and broad searches, depending on the kind of results we were seeking and the details/access points available to us.

What we learned: Along the way we became more familiar

with MARC descriptive fields.

We learned much more about what librarians do and why.

What we learned: The more “roadblocks” and “speedbumps”

we ran into, the better we learned how to refine our searches.

MOST OF ALL we learned to appraise the search details at hand and then PLAN the search before performing the search with the appropriate tool.

Did we have fun? YES, and we learned valuable lessons

along the way.
