ASSESSMENT PATTERN CLASSES I,II I. There is no formal examination for Classes I and II. The teacher will evaluate the students through continuous and comprehensive evaluation [CCE]. The testing can be done simultaneously while teaching or separately. II. Most of the time the students will not be aware that they are being tested. III. ASSESSMENT POLICY (GRADE V-VIII)

(i) Periodic Test (10marks)

The school will conduct three periodic written tests in the entire academic year and

the average of the best two will be taken. With portion of syllabus cumulatively covered.

The gradually increasing portion contents would prepare students acquires confidence

for appearing in the final examination with 100% Syllabus. The school will take average

of the best two tests for final marks submission.

(ii) Notebook submission (5 marks)

Notebook submission as a part of internal assessment is aimed at enhancing

seriousness of students towards preparing notes for the topics being thought in the

classroom as well as assignment. This also addresses the critical aspect of regularity

punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.

(iii)Subject Enrichment Activity (5marks)For languages: Activities conducted for subject enrichment in languages should

aim equipping the learner to develop effective speaking and listening skills

For mathematics: the listed laboratory activities and project as given in the prescribed

publication of CBSE/NCERT will be followed

For science: Practical work activities will be carried out

For social Science: map and project work will be undertaken.

For grades V to VIII the % coverage of portions for Term 2 will be as follows:

Grades V& VI: 10 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of

2nd term.

Grade VII: 20 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of 2nd

term.

Grade VIII: 30 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of 2nd

term.

EXAMINATION & PROMOTION POLICY FOR

CLASSES V to VIII – 2019-20

PROMOTION POLICY / RULES (V-VIII)

1. In order to be declared as ‘Passed’ a candidate shall obtain not less than33% marks in each of the five subjects separately and in aggregate.

2. Student has to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks in each subject inInternal Assessment too.

3. A student having less than 75% attendance in an academic session shall notbe permitted to appear in the Final Examination.

4. Students will be awarded Marks as well as grades in classes V-VIII.

5. It is mandatory to appear in all Examinations.

State Board Pattern = 7 Papers in FAs and 11 papers in SAs & PreboardExam .

Class Tests will be conducted by teachers to prepare students for tests from classes III toX. Parents will be intimated of the same and have to sign on the answer sheet .Even ifmarks are less, do sign the answer sheets and motivate your kids towards betterperformance .

Total 4 periodic tests including half yearly out of which besttwo test marks will be taken to add to Annual Exam
