Semester and Year Assessment Conducted: 2015-16(Spring 2016)Standard Met? : Standard Not MetThis SLO has been reflected through the student's grades ontheir hands on exam. The class spends a majority of timelooking into standard maintenance items found on anUnder Hood Inspection lab sheet and is evaluated on theirknowledge of these items in a hands-on exam. My studentshave been able to average around a 70% on their hands-onlab exam. I would like to see the class time extended togreater expose students to standard maintenance items

Multiple Assessments - Isdependent upon the instructor'sdiscretion. The Inspection lab sheetcan be collected and graded, skillsfrom Inspection lab sheet.can betested in a hands-on exam, or skillsfrom the Inspection lab sheet can beobserved and evaluated by theinstructor .

Second isthe homework assignments tied tobrake inspections. Third is testedbased off of a hands on exam and afinal exam where the student has toinspect and identify various brakesystem parts and wear.

Observable Patterns

Summarize the patterns observed inthe data.

The students were able tounderstand and apply the safetyrules and principles which pertain toAutomotive Technologyrequirements of working safely inthe auto shop which included theproper use of hand tools and powertools.

Though most of the students ( 19)passed with an 100%, a few (7)students had to review and correcttheir answers to attain an 100%understanding of the safetyprocedures in the auto shop.
