Racing float seaplane designe to flight for Schneider cup in 1929. It was constructed with three bankengine and 8 cylindres - power 1341 kW. Three planes were made. At the end of summer 1929captain Giuseppe Motta was killed while testing plane, so only two planes were left for race. On the fuselage they carried numbers 7 and 10. Italian did not get the cup because of same problems withplanes. Wingspane: 9,98m, length: 7,65m.

Recommended tools and utilities:

Sharp knife. Scissors. Flat and round file. Flat pliers. Nippers. Modelling pins. Black splicing tape 3-5 mm wide. Abrasive papers 120 and 240 on rigid pad. Glues (epoxy resin 5 min., UHU-por, CA glue). Soldering iron. Pencil. Set of alcohol paints and brush for pilot painting or its repairs.

Application of decals:

Cut appropriate decal from the sheet.Soak complete decal in water for about 10 seconds with picture downward and hold down so that it would not twist.Wet location of application with a sponge.As soon as the decal can move transfer it to position.Smooth decal with backup paper. Well transfered decal need not be lackered or covered. It does not damage even if touched with hand. Poorly transfered decal has air bubbles, etc. and can be damaged or peeled off after some time.Test the procedure using decal that you would not use on model.

Flying our scale model Macchi M-69 is intended for EXPERIENCED PILOTS!!!!!! THE Center of gravity for test flight is 15mm from leading edge. Aileron deflections are 15mm Up and 15mm Down, elevator 18mm UP and 18mm Down, rudder 12mm to both sides. Floats shall be parallel to each other and to model axis!!! Minimum power of AC motor shall be 130 W.Try to take off from water as soon as possible. The model can be endangered during fast taxying by a wave which can cause strong drift and sometimes overturning!! There are no problems with flying. During fast passage flight Macchi looks like real racer. Landing should be made with higher motor speed similarly like for fast passage flight and then it depends on experience and sensibility. Landing requires fine control. At the beginning we recommend calm water surface and no wind. Flying Styro Kit wishes you good luck for flying this exceptional model.
