Purpose of Nonmetallic Materials Working Group

• Assess the current state of Additive Manufacturing and Develop new standards or guidance documents‒ Builds upon ASME expertise in general mechanical engineering design‒ Address gaps as identified in the America Makes Standards Collaborative and

need in the industry

• First meeting in April 2021 and have been meeting monthly to discuss potential opportunities ‒ Next Meeting September 28, 2021

• Proposed project teams are currently forming.
