especially during the current economy downturn.

capital. EI contributes to work performance by enabling people to

regulate their emotions to cope effectively with stress , making

decisions under pressure and adjust to organizational change.

EI exposes individuals and companies to a better working

environment but by only knowing the benefits and reading the

theories will not help improving or develop an efficient workforce.

When self development skill is instilled within the workforce in long

term it will create better leaders.

The Asian Emotional Intelligence Forum 2009 creates a better
