Course Description• The Hawkers’ DevelopmentProgramme is a national initiative by NEA and SSG

This pThis programme aims to equip aspiring hawkers with the fundamental skills to embark on their entrepreneurial hawker career. You will be introduced to the hawker journey by:

• Sharpening up • Sharpening up your basic culinary skills

• Understanding the basic financial concepts and practices

• Writing a simple Business Plan

• Using Social media for customer outreach and engagement

Modules*To achieve a full certification, individuals must successfully attain competency in all the following modules:• Follow F&B safety and hygiene policies & p procedures (7.5hours)

• Essential Hawker Culinary Fundamentals (7 hours)

• Essential Hawker Entrepreneurship Fundamentals (16 hours)

• SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace (8 hours)

Training Duration• 5-days (38.5 hours) Classes available on weekdays or weekends (9:00am - 6:00pm), or evenings (6:30pm - 10:30pm). Subject to min. headcount to run.

Entry RequiEntry Requirements• Minimum Secondary Education

• Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) score: Level 4 and above for Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy

•• All applications will be evaluated to determine their suitability for admission into our relevant level of programmes. This is subjected to submission of the required supporting documents and the minimum enrolment to start a class.
