Vositha is Executive Director of SLYCAN Trust, and an Attorney-at-Law specializing in international environmental law, and UN human rights law. Among her key areas of focus under climate change adaptation are stakeholder engagement in the adaptation processes, integration of climate change adaptation into development processes, monitoring and evaluation of finance for adaptation, risk and vulnerability assessment.Vositha holds an LL.M in Public International Law from University of London, and an LL.B from Queen Mary, University of London
Inkar KadyrzhanovaRegional adviser on gender
and climate change, UN Women Asia and the Pacific
Inkar is leading the regional work ongender mainstreaming in climate changeand disaster risk reduction. Prior to that,she worked at the UN Climate Changesecretariat on mitigation, data and analysisissues and supported the negotiationprocess on climate action by state andnon-state stakeholders. She has more than15 years of work experience in the area ofenvironment protection and climatechange mitigation and adaptation andworked at different UN agencies. Besidesworking in Asia, Inkar has led the regionalprogrammes of UNDP on environment andsecurity in Central Asia and other sub-regions of Europe and CIS region.

Verania has worked for UNDP for morethan a decade, and is currentlyspearheading the gender-responsive NDCwork under the NDC Support Programmeand the Climate Promise initiative.Previously, she worked as a PolicySpecialist for Environment and ClimateChange in the Gender Team atHeadquarters for four years. She alsooversaw the environment, energy andclimate change portfolio in UNDP’scountry office in Mexico, where sheworked with national and subnationalgovernments, civil society organizationsand at the community level. Hannah has nine years’ experienceworking with Australia’s Department ofForeign Affairs and Trade as a policy officerand diplomat. Through her current role inthe Sustainability and Climate ChangeBranch, Hannah works to integrate climatechange across Australia’s developmentprogram and serves as a member ofAustralia’s UNFCCC delegation negotiatinggender and climate finance issues. Since2018, she has served as Australia’sUNFCCC national gender and climatechange focal point.

Jessica is a statistician and data analystwith almost 30 years of experience, mainlyin the public sector and internationalorganizations. Now based in SouthAustralia, she works as a consultant forUnited Nations agencies in countriesacross Asia and the Pacific, and in Europeand Central Asia. Jessica specialises ingender statistics, providing technicalassistance and training to strengthen theproduction and use of statistics inevidence-based planning, policies, andreporting. She has been working with UNWomen in Asia and the Pacific region tosupport countries to integrate gender intheir climate change and disaster-relatedstatistics

Sandee heads the division tasked tomonitor mainstreaming andimplementation of climate change plansand programs of the government (nationaland sub-national). Her team manages thedomestic online transparency systemdesigned to monitor climate actions andsupport. She heads the climate budgettagging helpdesk and spearheads variousclimate reports to be communicated tooversight agencies and the UNFCCCincluding the NDC finalization. She is amember of the Commission's GAD FocalPoint System, overseeing theimplementation of gender actions withinthe CCC and mainstreaming of genderconsiderations in climate policy.

Dinravy has over 30 years of experiencewith diverse institutions such as the RoyalGovernment of Cambodia Ministry, UNDPin Cambodia, International NGOs such asOxfam and Action for DisabilityDevelopment. Her expertise includes,gender equality and gendermainstreaming, results-based programmanagement, sustainable livelihoods forthe rural poor, social protection,community-based organization, ClimateChange, Knowledge Management, Policyand Research Coordination. She receivedher Master on Public Administration inCambodia and Postgraduate Diploma inAccounting and Auditing for DevelopmentCountries in the UK.

Srijana has more than nine years ofexperience in the field of forestry. She wasinvolved in the preparation of the NationalREDD+ Benefit Sharing Plan, EmissionReduction Program Document (ERPD), andin the formulation of National ClimateChange Policy (2019). Since 2010 sheworks in the Ministry of Forests andEnvironment (MoFE) and now leads theadaptation section of Climate ChangeManagement Division and co-ordinatesthe project, Building Capacity to AdvanceNAP Process. She was a Gender Focal Pointfor REDD-IC and worked on the GenderAssessment and development of theGender Action Plan for the ERPD.

Poorvaprabha Patil United Nations Major Group

Poorvaprabha serving as the UNMGCYSDG 3 Regional Focal Point for the AsiaPacific region, is a final year medicalstudent from India. She is the President ofthe Medical Students Association of India(MSAI)- a network of 20000+ medicalstudents across India; and serves as anExecutive Board member of the YoungProfessionals Chronic Disease Network (YPCDN). She is a global health and climateaction advocate, with a particular interestin the climate-health intersection. In 2016,she also co-founded an NGO called‘Lumina Vitae’ that works on access tohealthcare in India and works with diversecommunities and vulnerable groups.

Patricia graduated in Political Science on gender sensitive approaches in the Clean Development Mechanism. Since then she has been working on regional cooperation and climate justice issues. Currently she is coordinating the Women and Gender Constituency in the UNFCCC. Based in Germany, she is working on education for sustainable development and advocating for gender-just climate action on national level as well.

Sibyl has more than 12 years ofinternational experience in the social andgender dimensions of climate change,agriculture, and rural development. Shecurrently works on two FAO-UNDPprogrammes, NAP-Ag and SCALA, whereshe leads gender mainstreaming inadaptation planning and NDCimplementation in twenty countries inAsia, Africa and Latin America, focusing onagriculture. She has conducted multi-disciplinary research and deliveredcapacity development activities to a rangeof stakeholders on gender and disaster riskreduction as well as gender, food securityand climate change.

Mozaharul served the Ministry ofEnvironment and Forests, Government ofBangladesh, and undertook inclusiveprocess and formulated NAPA. In 2099, hejoined UNEP where he provides strategicand technical guidance to design andimplementation climate change actions.He has attended climate changenegotiations for more than two decadesand has coordinated adaptation group ofG77 and China during 2007 to 2009. Hehas worked as Lead Author for WorkingGroup II for IPCC Fifth Assessment Report.

Kavita is an international human rightslawyer from Fiji working in climate justiceat the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Lawand Development (APWLD) in Thailand.She works with grassroots women in alltheir diversity from Asia and the Pacific tobuild a feminist climate justice movement.Recently, she joined ProgressiveInternational as a Council member to workwith activists from around the world tohelp shape a new progressive internationalorder centered on all people’s well being.Outside of work, you’ll find her withfriends on a beach or along a mountaintrek.
