Dear Parents and Carers, As you are aware our wonderful P&C are organising our family carols night for Friday, 29 th November. Up until that date the students will continue to undertake their normal school curriculum. The following week we then allow students who wish to bring Christmas cards to begin doing so and some lessons are modified as children, especially young ones become quite excited. The cards are placed in a box in the foyer and distributed to the recipients by Y6 elves. Please ensure that the child receiving the card is clearly identified by name and class on the envelope and card and the sender’s name and class is marked on the card. Please do not allow your child to bring cards before 2 nd December. Have an enjoyable week Narelle and staff. OUR POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING (PBL) focus this week is to “be your best” and make “good choices”. SMS student absences to 19910010. Canteen open: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Uniform Shop open: Mondays (8.30am – 9am & 2.30pm – 3pm) Fridays (8.30am – 9am) REMINDERS: Year 3 – 6 swimming on Fridays – don’t forget swimmers, towel, goggles etc. Year 5 & 6 2014 camp deposit ($70) is now due. P&C Survey is due back by tomorrow, Friday, 8 th November. A copy of the survey is on our website. NOTES SENT HOME THIS WEEK: Year 6 Farewell – Year 5 & 6 invitations Year 2 swimming scheme reminder YEAR 2 SWIMMING SCHEME starts next Monday, 11 th November. Students involved are to bring their swimmers, towel, rash shirt and plastic bag (for wet gear) each day. The scheme finishes on Friday, 22 nd November, 2013. YEAR 5 & 6 2014 CAMP expressions of interest are now overdue. We are still waiting on responses from 30 students. Please inform the school if your child will be attending or if they will be staying at school. These responses are urgent for planning purposes. The expression of interest is on our website. GASTROENTERITIS We have had many students ill with the dreaded vomiting/diarrhoea bug. Symptoms can also include fever, stomach cramps and headaches. Please keep your child at home until at least 24 hours after vomiting/diarrhoea stops. Careful hand washing with soap and water after using the toilet and before touching food will help prevent the spread of this illness.
