William Shakespeare the greatest poet and playwright in English Literature was born at Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire England. He wrote tragedies, comedies and romance. His famous 4 tragedies are; Macbeth, Othello, King Lear and Hamlet.

Rabindranath Tagore, the most eminent literary figure in India is a poet, critic, essayist,painter,composer,short-story writer and a novelist. He is the fist Indian to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913.
