Aashayam – to Literate India
Aashayam Organization was started by a group of
Students of NIT Warangal in the Month of January
2012, got registered as NGO on ________ at
Warangal. At present it is operating wit h around
230 members through 4 chapters in Andhra
Pradesh.
VISION: “To see a 100% Literate India”
“Every student to obtain excellent guidance and
appropriate ways to obtain monetary support to
pursue the right education of their choice”
MISSION: “Eradicate the prevailing illiteracy and
Child labor and make our country a developed
nation in the true sense.”
It is observed that a student faces the two major
hurdles while choosing and pursuing a right career
1) Lack of “relevant information on demand”
to make a life changing decision.
2) Lack of Monetary / Family support to
pursue a career of his/her choice.
In order to address these problems Aashayam has
initiated the “Let’s Guide” project that’s aims at
providing career guidance to students.
School Adoption Program:
Convert rural and Urban Government Schools into
model schools with focus on quality of Education
3 Schools, 150 beneficiaries
Scholarship Media:
Collecting latest information regarding Scholarships
and update the same with school children.
Career Guidance:
The objective of Career Guidance service is to
provide authentic and complete information to the
students in the categories of career courses,
vocational and job oriented courses.
Currently operational in Warangal
Technozion – Impact:
University – School Collaboration
Team Aashayam will be providing a platform for
“Top Inspire State Projects” in our own college (NIT
Warangal) during Technozion every year, so that
they can exhibit their projects
Talent Search:
This is to improve Leadership and Extra curricular
activities in Government School children. Events
include Painting, Quiz, Creative art, drawing
competitions, General aptitude.
Make them Smile:
Celebrating Birthdays and Placement days in nearby
Orphanages, Main motto of this to Say the Orphans
that we are with them at any point of time
We will be collecting all the old / used cloths, wash,
iron and distribute them in nearby slums and
Orphanages
Joy of Giving Week:
We the Team Aashayam donated Shorts,
Dictionaries, and notebooks. Later we took their
wishes and trying to fulfill them
Team Aashayam and Music club collectively planned
“Musical Night” at Oasis Orphanage and it gave us a
great Experience
Melody of the Future:
Team Aashayam will bringing 8,9,10 Government
class students to NIT Warangal & KMC’s
environment, Infrastructure, So that they can be
motivated to study in prestigious colleges.
Each one Join One:
We will be giving required information on “APRJC &
Social welfare Entrance exams” to the Financial
Backward students, so that they can pursue their
Intermediate education for free.
Last year we distributed the application forms to
the students and made them to fill and we posted
it, in their behalf. Later when we contacted them,
their response after writing exam, is satisfactory
Chhoti si Aasha:
Team Aashayam believes that “a student from a
rural back ground if given the right platform can do
wonders”
On this theme, 3 Government school children with
help of Team Aashayam broke 3 Limca records, on 3
Consecutive days during Spring Spree
Assisting Vandemataram Camp:
We the team Aashayam is proud to assist
Vandemataram camp, and in that we took the
responsibility of Conducting, Evaluating, Sending
invitation letters to the Selected students. Later we
interacted with the students and gave career
guidance.
We have only one passion, to see 100% Literate
India
Career Counseling:
We the Team Aashayam collaborated with EENADU
to provide counseling for ICET, JEE students in
selection of their Branches and Colleges.

Inspire:
We the Team Aashayam, Collaborated with the
Government, to take up the Inspire Projects in
Warangal Division.
We believe that a University – School Collaboration
helps, for the betterment of student’s career.
Future Milestones:
1) Project – Sahaya: Volunteering, Guiding,
Caring OASIS Orphanage.
2) Creating more Leaders from different
colleges, so that they can start in their own
colleges.
