2. Use sex cells - gametes:a. Sperm cell – male, small, mobile
b. Egg cell – female, large, free floating, contain food for new organism
3. Fertilization = Joining of the egg and sperm
a. Egg and sperm are haploid cells = half number of chromosomes (23 chromosomes)
b. Join together (23 chromosomes = 23 chromosomes) to create diploid cell.
