A new generation of vertical illuminators for the Metallographic Research MicroscopeVANOX is now available for use with Olympus' recently-developed L8M series of infinitycorrected high performance objectives. When used in conjunction with the SWK 10Xsuper widefield eyepieces (FN 26.5), thistrinocular tube permits observation ofapproximately twice the area of a normal field.M S Plan or Neo S Plan objectives should beused for the super widefield observation.
BH2-M-NICBH2-N-NICNomarski Differential InterferenceContrast Attachment
The BH2-M-NIC is used with the brightfieldvertical illuminator, and the BH2-N-NIC withthe brightfield/darkfield vertical illuminator,for differential interference contrastobservation. Each of them requires the M SPlan objectives, analyzer and polarizer. Youcan choose a type of attachment from thesestandard outfits that fits your microscopemodules.
