Why should I give?

As a nonprofit, Artspace depends on contributions to remain free and open to the public while continuing to offer work space for local artists, community residencies with at-risk children and adults, scholarships to our art classes, and a local venue for national and international artists to show work. Membership dollars are vital to the success of Artspace. We would not exist without individual support.

What is Artspace?

A 25-year old nonprofit visual art center located in downtown Raleigh. We strive to make art accessible to everyone by inviting you to engage directly in the creative process - by visiting artists in their open studios, viewing exhibitions of professional and emerging artists’ work, and taking unique art classes led by professional artists.

What is an Artspace membership?

An easy way for individuals to make a contribution in support of Artspace’s mission. There are various giving levels and benefits including discounts on artwork purchases, priority registration for classes, and invitations to exclusive events.

Where does the money go?

Membership donations are unrestricted gifts, meaning they go directly to Artspace’s general operating fund. This allows the staff and board of Artspace to utilize your dollars where they are needed most, be it scholarships for under privileged youth to take art classes, studio rent subsidies to support the Regional Emerging Artist-in-Residence program, or to assist with maintenance and repair to the building!
