The Arts at The Ohio State University are home

to the Departments of Art, Art Education,

Dance, Design, History of Art, Theatre, the

School of Music, and the Advanced Computing

Center for the Arts and Design. More than

1,600 undergraduate students and 500

graduate students currently are studying in one

of our degree programs, with concentrations

in dozens of areas—from art, acting, and

music education to dance, design, ceramics,

sculpture, and jazz studies.

Our programs are highly ranked.

In fact, six of our departmental

programs are ranked in the top

10 nationally, and our graduate

programs in dance and art

education are ranked #1. We

are part of Ohio’s premier

university—Ohio State was

recently ranked as one of the top

public research universities in the

country—and housed within the

College of Arts and Sciences.

PerformWe have hundreds of concerts, plays, performances and exhibitions every year—on campus and in downtown Columbus.

downtown Columbus to foster community collaborations. We also partner with professional arts organizations such as BalletMet, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and more.

Be a BuckeyeThe Ohio State University offers a vast array of activities, resources and events—from rousing OSU football games (with The Best Damn Band in the Land, of course) to the outstanding recreation center and outdoor adventure center, to big-name concerts and festivals like the Medieval Festival and African American Heritage Festival.
