1 Session: $70 | Both Sessions: $100 (Choose One or Both) SESSION 1 July 16 SESSION 2 July 17 Dr. Deborah Kuster Participants will experience ways to combine art history, with 2-D and 3-D art-making techniques using common materials. Observation skills, which are basic to artistic and scientific investigation, along with literary metaphoric and symbolic perspectives will be incorporated. Some of the topics covered are organic and geometric 3-dimensional forms, metaphorical and symbolic expression and drawing from observation/perspective. This institute is suitable for K-12 art teachers, K-12 gifted and talented teachers and most K-12 Social Studies and Language Arts teachers. Participants will benefit from presentation of Art historical and Language Arts connections and a combination of 2-D and 3-D art-making techniques using common materials. Content presented will be aligned with the Arkansas Visual Arts Frameworks. www.uca.edu/outreach
