Also, the faulting styles NF, SS and TF means normal fault, strike-slip and thrust fault. The quality rank scheme used here is the same of the present World Stress Map project adapted by Assumpção et al. (2016) for Brazil, which classifies focal mechanisms as C1, C2 or D, from the more to the less reliable to indicate the SHmax orientation. More details can be seen in Assumpção et al. (2016).
