Week 1:(July 2 to 6)

Wonderful World of Color!4th of July – School Closed

Field Trip : Kidspace Museum, Pasadena. Let’sLet’s welcome summer with a world of color! This week, the children are visiting KIDSPACE MUSEUM in Pasadena on Tuesday. The children will express their creativity by joining a discovery exhibit. Prepare to bring out the inner artist in you this week! Patriotic parade on Tuesday around the school grounds!

Week 2: (July 9 to 13)Water Sports

Activity: Wading Pools, Splash Day - Popsicles.WhatWhat better way to beat the summer but by water sports. Come join us this Tuesday as we splash our morning with wading pools and do some water

games in the morning.

Week 3:(July 16 to 20)

Old McDonald had a Farm

Field Trip : Tanaka Farms. OldOld McDonald had a farm….and on the farm he had chicks, ducks, cows, sheep. Join us this week as we visit an actual working farm in Irvine this Tuesday. We get to hop on a tractor for melon tour. We also

go home with a melon!

Week 4:(July 23 to 27)

How do Things Work?

Activity: Science Experiments.InIn the classroom we are going to perform simple science experiments to discover how things work.

Week 5:(July 30 to Aug. 3)

The World of Dinosaurs

Field Trip: Natural History Museum.Let’sLet’s explore the world of dinosaurs and learn the way the roamed the ancient world! How fascinating it is to know that the reptiles in our time is a fraction

of their size!

Week 6:(Aug. 6 to 10)

The Art of Ceramic Painting

Activity: Color Me Mine.WeWe are going to create a work of art in tile. Color me mine Company will visit and work with us to

create a tile wall.

Week 7:(Aug. 13 to 17)

What’s in your plate?

Field Trip: Local restaurant.WeWe will learn about food groups and making some healthy food choices. We will visit a local restaurant

this Tuesday to dine and enjoy food.

Week 8:(Aug. 20 to 24)Summer Concert

Activity: Variety Show (music, dance).ComeCome join us this Tuesday for our Summer Concert at the school. Each class will show case their artistic

talents in song, dance or poetry.

Week 9:(Aug. 27 – 29) See you next summer!

SCHOOL CLOSED: AUG. 30 – 31, Teachers’ in Service days

Activity: Moon Bounce.We wrap up our summer camp with a Lunch Pot Luck Party on Tuesday . We will also

have an all day moon bounce that day. See you next summer!
