LANAEA will attend the NABJ conference from July 28 to August 1. She will join Joyce in LA to meet with funders August 2 and 3 and will return to the office August 9. LINDSAY will be vacationing in South Carolina on July 26 and 27. 7.23.2010 ICFJ sent Michelle out in Parisian style on Thursday with a French cafe themed going away party . We’ll certainly miss you, Michelle, but we wish you the best of luck in graduate school! Bassam and Jerri both celebrated birthdays this week. Happy Birthday to both of you! Joyce has been invited to co-chair the African Media Leaders Conference in Cameroon on November 17 to 19. Burns Orientation Week begins July 27 and runs until August 1. If you haven’t already done so, please let Michelle know if you would like to attend the Reception at the Ambassador’s residence on July 28. Program Spotlight: Citizen Journalism in Malaysia This week, The Citizen Journalism in Malaysia Program launched a a new, multimedia rich webpage on the ICFJ website, featuring new links to videos created by the citizen journalists. The webpage also features a number of new impact stories and other general pieces about the program. Congratulations to all who contributed to this project!
