    ABOUT JAZZHOUSE

    A volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, Jazzhouse(Nottinghamshire) Ltd brings high quality national and internationalcontemporary jazz to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire audiences throughits Jazz Steps programme. Its regular venue is the Bonington Theatre inArnold which has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment andprovides a convivial atmosphere with bar and real ale, new, comfortableraked seating in the auditorium, a fabulous Steinway grand piano, greatacoustics and lighting with ample free parking and access via bus routes.

    Jazz Steps is active in promoting jazz education, including a mentoringprogramme for aspiring jazz players; youth jazz bands performing in thebar area at gigs; free and reduced tickets for children and students;support to deliver the EMJAZZ Miles Ahead education programme; andan active presence in the local education music hubs. Jazz Steps workswith consortium partner Nottingham Lakeside Arts and actively supportslive jazz locally with a countywide lively ‘Jazz in the Libraries’ programme.
