WHAT'sIT ALt ABOUT?The Australian Army Cadets is acommunity -based, Defence-sponsored,youth development organisation of some15,000 Cadets and some l OOO Cadet Staffthat provides adventurous, fulfilling andeducational military-like activities for youngpeople, in a military environment,

It teaches young Australians, aged between12% and 17 years, the value of friendship,self-discipline, respect and a spirit of adventure.It also instils the Army values of teamwork,init iative and moral couraqe.

WHAT ABOUT UNIFORMS,EOUIPMEilT ANTI FEES?We provide uniforms and most equipment.and when you go on annual camp we providethe accommodation, food and travel. EachCadet Unit has its own fee structure or chargesfor certain activities like bivouacs. Cadets areissued with some equipment including:r Boots. Disruptive Pattern Camouflage

Uniform (DPCU). Basic bush camping gear

WHO WILL II{STRUET ME?Cadets learn from civilian Cadet Officers andlnstructors who conduct senior instruction ordirectly instruct and supervise Cadets. ArmyCadets is strongly supported by serving militarypersonnel who work hand in hand with theorganisation on cadet activities. In some cases,civil ian volunteers with special skil ls help CadetOfficers and Instructors.
