TheSpecialInterestGroupROLEoftheInternationalAssociationforResearchinL1Education,ARLE,isorganisingaresearchseminaronInteractionintheLiteratureClassroominJune2018atHildesheimUniversity,Germany.Researchcommunitiesinliteratureeducationgenerallyagreeontheimportanceofdialogueasameansforlearningexperiencesandallowingin-depth-encounterswithliterature(Janssen/Pieper[ed.s]2009;Brindley/Juzwik/Whitehurst[ed.s]2016).However,todescribethequalityofinteraction,grasplearningprocessesorsimplyreconstructwhatisgoingoninclassregularlyappearstobeachallengeforresearchers.Withregardtoimprovingteachingsoundknowlegeonhowtodesignandmoderatemeaningfuldialogueintheliteratureclassroomistobewishedfor.
