A typical day in my life includes… my day is like no other. I have the opportunity to be a plastic surgeon, a businessman, a teacher, a coach and mentor. I feel honored that patients trust me with their care and allow me to be a part of a very personal

journey and transformation. I am part of a specialty that allows me to feed my desire to build and create businesses and

teams of people that can help others. I enjoy both the clinical and surgical sides of being a plastic surgeon, as well as the

ability to educate people on our specialty and the specific plan that will achieve their goals as a patient. The business of aesthetics is exciting and it is amazing to be in a place where I can help set the standard for excellence in our trade.

My family is… the strongest pillar in my life and really is the foundation of who I am as a person. My wife is my best friend

and biggest supporter as we continue to experience life. My parents have been the foundation for me as I have grown up

and have encouraged me to find joy wherever my life leads me. I am fortunate to have my parents live close (Mesa) so that we can be with them as often as our busy schedules allow. My brother lives in Seattle and although I do not get to see him

as often, he also is a strong factor in my life and I admire him tremendously.

If I could have dinner with anyone it would be… me on my 80th birthday. I would ask myself advice about what is really important to worry about versus all the little things that I worry about daily that really don’t make a bit of difference for the future.

One thing I cannot live without is… music. I listen to music at home, in the car, in the operating room, golfing, etc.

I am inspired by… people that are positive, open-minded, generous, and goal focused, while squeezing every drop of

enjoyment out of each day.

My first job was… as a paper delivery boy for the local town newspaper in Albany, Oregon.

Always… show gratitude and humility.

Never… be quick to judge and criticize.

Up Close and PersonalDr. Gawley was featured in Arizona Foothills’ annual selection of the area’s Entrepreneurs.

Dr. Bryan Gawley, Notable Arizona

Plastic Surgeon, Recognized by

Phoenix Magazine PHOENIX, AZ March 2016 – Phoenix Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Bryan Gawley, has been nominated by PHOENIX Magazine as a Top Doctor in their 2016 issue. Gawley Plastic Surgery Center has proudly accepted Dr. Gawley’s nominations for seven consecutive

years (2010-2016). Dr. Gawley is the founder of Gawley Plastic Surgery Center, a premier plastic surgery practice in Scottsdale

and Phoenix. Top Doc is determined by surveying medical

professionals in the Phoenix area, asking peers to nominate board certified physicians who are experts in their field. PHOENIX

Magazine published its first list of the Valley’s Best Doctors in 1995. Twenty years and 2,457 peer-selected physicians later, Top Docs

is the most popular issue – a trusted and venerable resource

for local medical care.

Dr. Bryan Gawley is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, and is a specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body and face. He completed a five-year accredited plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas, Galveston, and is Chief of Plastic Surgery at the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. His patients receive outstanding

patient care with the latest surgical techniques. An elegant surgical

experience is provided at his surgery center, one of the only

Medicare and AAASF accredited centers specializing in breast

reconstruction and plastic surgery. MD Skin Lounge®, his new state-of-the-art MedSpa Center, provides quality skin care and the most current aesthetic and non-invasive services, including

injectables, Ultherapy®, CoolSculpting®, Cellfina™, I.V. Drip Therapies and the full spectrum of skin rejuvenating laser treatments.

Changing LivesIn addition to his talents as a cosmetic surgeon,

Dr. Gawley also has a passion for performing

breast reconstruction for cancer patients whose

physiques have been altered by mastectomy.

Renewing a patient’s self-esteem and body

image after breast cancer is an invaluable

service, one he is proud to offer.

In his ongoing effort to provide the highest quality of care, Dr. Gawley opened North Scottsdale Outpatient Surgery Center.

This fully accredited surgical facility boasts the latest technology in a spa-like environment. Opened in fall 2009, NSOSC has received impeccable reviews from the most discriminating

cosmetic patient to the recently diagnosed

breast cancer patient.

It means a lot to Dr. Gawley that his patients

entrust him with such profound tasks, and in turn, he gives the best of himself – and the

benefit of his extensive education – to each person who seeks his help. To Dr. Gawley, it’s not just business as usual; it’s the art of

changing lives.

Dr. Gawley’s passion for breast reconstruction continued as he worked closely with Dr. Linda Liu. He was introduced to a local foundation that was equally passionate about providing a quality of life to patients

called Don’t Be A Chump! Check For A Lump!. The Foundation works to educate the community on breast cancer awareness and provides

direct assistance to breast cancer patients with their wig program.

Dream TeamFor most patients, a diagnosis of breast cancer often comes with

significant concern over the possible loss or deformity of the breast. However, many patients are unaware of the advances that have

been made in the field of breast reconstruction. In most cases,

Dr. Gawley can reconstruct a woman’s breast following mastectomy

or lumpectomy with outstanding, natural results. Dr. Gawley

understands that improving self-image and sense of wholeness are

equally important and an integral part of the treatment and recovery

from breast cancer. In short, recovery from breast cancer treatment

no longer means living without breasts.“Aesthetic concerns should not be an

afterthought in breast cancer surgery. By working

with Dr. Gawley in a team approach from the

onset, we can identify potential cosmetic

problems with the surgery and prevent them

and often enhance the patient’s appearance.

Dr. Gawley is an innovator who brings his

skilled aesthetic techniques to cancer surgery

for superior results.” - Linda Liu, M.D.

“Choosing the right surgery when faced with

breast cancer is one of the most difficult

decisions a woman will have to make. Dr. Gawley

and I have worked together for over 10 years,

offering advanced reconstructive techniques

following cancer surgery. His caring attitude and

cosmetic outcomes have made him one of the

most sought out plastic reconstructive surgeons

in the Valley.” -Lise Walker, M.D.

Dr. Linda Liu and Dr. Lise Walker are top

surgeons specializing in breast health in

Phoenix, Arizona.

Hi! I’m Holly Rose, the founder of the local non-profit Don’t be a

Chump! Check for a Lump! I.R.S. 27-4626148. Our mission is to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer through education, prevention and direct assistance with free wigs and free mammograms.

I founded our non-profit after going through breast cancer at the age of 39. In sharing my personal experience, I quickly realized women were neglecting their breast health, and the majority of women, from

the CEO, to the teacher, to the waitress, were uneducated on the facts

regarding breast cancer and tips for prevention. I also discovered

another gap in our community. Women going through breast cancer

were going without wigs due to lack of funds.

Losing my hair was one of the most devastating side effects of my chemotherapy. It had nothing to do with vanity. It was the fact that my

youngest daughter would not hug me if I wasn’t wearing a wig. I just

didn’t look like mommy any longer. I looked like the face of cancer and I scared her. I was very fortunate that I could walk into a wig shop and pick out a beautiful wig that looked exactly like me, like mommy. Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not cover the cost of a wig.

While going through breast cancer I was showered with so many acts

of kindness. It was life changing for me. I wanted to give back, and so

I founded Don’t be a Chump! Check for a Lump! to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer through education, prevention and direct assistance.
