MØ & DJ Snake ‘Lean On’ – American electronic act Major Lazer pick up their first #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Lean On’. The single is up three spots from last week. It hits #1 in its fourth week in the top 50. #14: Rihanna ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ (debut) - The second single to come from Rihanna’s forthcoming eighth album. It’s the follow-up to ‘FourFiveSeconds’ (#1 Feb. ’15) and, like its predecessor, was co-produced by Kanye West. #18: Vance Joy ‘Georgia’ – In its seventh week in the top 50, ‘Georgia’ moves into the top 20 for the first time. It’s Vance Joy’s second top 20, following on from ‘Riptide’ (#6 Feb. ’14). Both tracks come from the album ‘Dream Your Life Away’ (#1 Sept. ’14). #19: Galantis ‘Runaway (U & I)’ – ‘Runaway (U & I)’ moves into the top 20 for the first time in its third week in the top 50. Galantis is a Swedish electronic duo comprising Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson of Miike Snow, and Linus Eklöw. #35: Rachel Platten ‘Fight Song’ (debut) – The ARIA top 50 debut for American singer- songwriter Rachel Platten. Several of Platten’s songs, including ‘Fight Song’, have been used in the TV series Pretty Little Liars.

Singles Chartifacts: #1: Major Lazer Feat. MØ & DJ Snake ‘Lean On’ – American electronic act Major Lazer pick up their first #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Lean On’. The single is up three spots from last week. It hits #1 in its fourth week in the top 50.

Albums Chartifacts: #1: Lee Kernaghan ‘Spirit Of The Anzacs’ – ‘Spirit Of the Anzacs’ remains at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart for a second straight week and chalks up Gold sales accreditation in the process. Kernaghan and an all-star cast including Jack Thompson, Lisa McCune, John Schumann and Harrison Craig will head out on the ‘Spirit Of the Anzacs’ tour in August and September.  

#2: Ed Sheeran ‘X’ – A jump back up the chart for Sheeran’s former #1 (#1 Jun. ’14) on the back of his current national tour. Two of the album’s singles – ‘Bloodstream’ and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ – have both moved back up to #13 and #17 respectively on the Singles Chart.

#3: Hozier ‘Hozier’ – a new peak for fellow touring act Hozier, with his self-titled debut album. This follows a run of successful promotional performances and live shows, including two stints on the Bluesfest stage.  

#8: The Prodigy ‘The Day Is My Enemy’ (debut) – British electronic group The Prodigy returns with their first new album in six year, ‘The Day Is My Enemy’. The album continues the band’s streak of top tens which stretches back across their last four studio albums: ‘Music For The Jilted Generation’ (#9 Apr. ’97), ‘The Fat Of The Land’ (#1 Jul. ’97), ‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ (#5 Aug. ’04) and ‘Invaders Must Die’ (#3 Mar. ’09).  

#10: Van Morrison ‘Duets: Re-Working The Catalogue’ (debut) – The 35th studio album from Van Morrison and his first to chart in the ARIA top ten since ‘Down The Road’ (#7 Jun. ’02). The album features re-workings of tracks from Morrison’s back catalogue with the likes of Bobby Womack, Mavis Staples, Steve Winwood, Natalie Cole and more.

#12: Short Stack ‘Dance With Me’ (debut) – Resurrected Central Coast trio Short Stack returns to the ARIA Albums Chart with ‘Dance With Me’. The EP includes their comeback single ‘Television’ (#47 Apr. ’14). The band last appeared on the Albums Chart with ‘This Is Bat Country’ (#6 Nov. ’10).
