Marlisa ‘Stand By You’ Singles Chartifacts: #1: Ed Sheeran ‘Thinking Out Loud’ – Week four at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for Ed Sheeran and ‘Thinking Out Loud’. #3: Meghan Trainor ‘Lips Are Movin’ – In its second week, ‘Lips Are Movin’ moves up four spots to become Meghan Trainor’s second top three on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2014. #8: Calvin Harris Feat. Ellie Goulding ‘Outside’ – In the same week his new album ‘Motion’ debuts on the ARIA Albums Chart, Calvin Harris picks up his eighth top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Outside’. Harris first hit the top ten with ‘Bounce’ (#7 Sept. ’11). #9: Hilltop Hoods ‘Cosby Sweater’ – Adelaide’s Hilltop Hoods pick up their third top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Cosby Sweater’. The trio have previously cracked the top ten with ‘Chase That Feeling’ (#8 Jun. ’09) and ‘I Love It’ (#6 Feb. ’12). #29: Taylor Swift ‘Blank Space’ (debut) – With ‘1989’ still sitting at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Taylor Swift picks up her fourth charting track from the album with ‘Blank Space’. The second official single from the album follows on from ‘Shake It Off’ (#1 Sept. ’14). ‘1989’ tracks to also chart have been ‘Out Of The Woods’ (#19 Oct. ’14) and ‘Welcome To New York’ (#23 Oct. ’14).

Singles Chartifacts:  #1: Ed Sheeran ‘Thinking Out Loud’ – Week four at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for Ed Sheeran and ‘Thinking Out Loud’.  

#3: Meghan Trainor ‘Lips Are Movin’ – In its second week, ‘Lips Are Movin’ moves up four spots to become Meghan Trainor’s second top three on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2014.

Albums Chartifacts: #1: Taylor Swift ‘1989’ – Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ holds the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second week. The singer-songwriter’s two previous chart-toppers – ‘Speak Now’ and ‘Red’ – spent one and three weeks respectively at #1 on the Albums Chart.  

#3: Calvin Harris ‘Motion’ (debut) – The fourth studio album from Scottish DJ/producer Calvin Harris and his second to crack the top five on the ARIA Albums Chart. The follow-up to ’18 Months’ (#5 Nov. ’12) features the singles ‘Under Control’ (#17 Oct. ’13), ‘Summer’ (#4 Apr. ’14), ‘Blame’ (#9 Sept. ’14) and ‘Outside’ (#8 Nov. ’14). ‘Motion’ features a cavalcade of guests including Gwen Stefani, Ellie Goulding, Haim, Alesso and John Newman.  

#15: Foo Fighters ‘Greatest Hits’ – Ahead of the release of their eighth studio album, ‘Sonic Highways’, on 10 November, Foo Fighters return to the ARIA Albums Chart with ‘Greatest Hits’. The album, which spent a week at #1 in Nov. ’09, this week notches up its 70th week in the ARIA top 50.  

#16: Annie Lennox ‘Nostalgia’ (debut) – Annie Lennox’s sixth studio album features the former Eurythmics singer performing compositions from the Great American Songbook including ‘Strange Fruit’, ‘I Put A Spell On You’, ‘Georgia On My Mind’ and ‘Summertime’. Lennox last charted with the compilation ‘The Annie Lennox Collection’ (#10 May ’09). Her last studio album to chart was ‘Songs Of Mass Destruction’ (#41 Oct. ’07).  

#18: The Smith Street Band ‘Throw Me In The River’ (debut) – The third studio album from Melbourne quartet The Smith Street Band is their first to chart inside the ARIA top 50. ‘Throw Me In The River’ is the band’s first album since 2012’s ‘Sunshine and Technology’. They released an EP, ‘Don't Fuck With Our’ Dreams, in 2013.
