Top-mounted gearbox, motor assembly and double-acting disc brake are housed

in a watertight aluminum extrusion.

Lifting is achieved through a hardened, ball-bearing screw nut assembly

suspended from the top of the column.

Security devices are built into the electrical system, which stops the lift from

operating in case of an electrical failure or overload.

The main control box has an electronic phase sequence relay that automatically

checks the rotation of the motors and adjusts accordingly. Additionally, if one

phase is cutoff, the system will stop automatically.

Insulated inter-connecting cables are finished in OHSA safety colors.

The slim design allows optimum visibility in shop.

ARI-HETRA’s new 24 Volt system utilizes dual industrial strength batteries and a Patented hybrid power system. You can now use 110 Volt power to run your lifts. This system has been engineered to operate with maximum efficiency while reducing environmental impacts by providing and utilizing sustainable energy, and further contributes to eligibility for certification under LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System for existing buildings operations & maintenance.

WIDE-BODY LIFTING SYSTEMMODEL HDML-8-4-W

ARI-HETRA’s MODEL HDML-8-4-W is built on the same stout platform as our HDML-8 Model except that it has a carriage width of 27 in. and can handle oversized tires. This wide-body carriage engages tires on the vehicle while it sits flat on the ground. This eliminates the time required to elevate the tires when engaging with a standard carriage.

Choose a lifting system that can service all the vehicles in your fleet. Quickly change between lifting a heavy-duty vehicle to a light truck in moments. Save money by purchasing a single multi-purpose lift for your needs.

ARI-HETRA adjustable lifting forks are constructed in the USA and feature precision machined surfaces and stout locking pins. The adjustable carriages are available in either 12 inch lengths for standard tire widths or 18 inch lengths for flotation tires. Forks adjust & lock for tire sizes from a 9 inch minimum to 27 inches maximum.

ARI-HETRA’s 900 Series Scissor Lifts offer a high quality, truly heavy-duty lifting system. Solid steel construction with bronze and graphite pivot points are only some of the characteristics that make the 900 series lifts superior. Changing a clutch, inspecting shocks or performing some other maintenance is easier and quicker with ARI-HETRA scissor lifts. Best of all, these lifts require very little floor modifications. ARI-HETRA’s FL Lifting System uses a ramp and contact pad with two HDML lifting posts* to gain access to the underside of short wheelbase industrial vehicles. Preventive maintenance, lubrication, repair and parts replacement are made easier and safer with the vehicle raised.

ARI-HETRA’s systems lift three or four wheeled forklifts. Our FL Lifting Systems offer tremendous time savings over floor jacking or overhead cranes. When the job is finished, the system is

loaded onto a storage cart and wheeled out of the way.

The FL System features all the safety benefits of our HDML posts (See page 6) as well as a non-skid rubber surface contact point and perforated traction ramps.

ARI-HETRA’s Model FL-3 Forklift Adapter is a mobile lifting system that, when used with two HDML columns, provides easy under-vehicle access for counterbalance lift trucks (four-wheel forklift).

For use with four-wheel lift trucks with a wheelbase of 76 in. or less*. Maximum lifting capacity is limited to the lift truck’s wheel base. The forklift is driven onto platform ramps with the center of gravity over the center component (drive-over pads). Model HDML then lifts the center component (drive-over pads) and the forklift to provide “stand-up” under-vehicle access.

Rolls Easy: The standard needle roller bearings on the carriage rollers permit the lift to roll effortlessly in the pit.

Durability: Both the lifting and pump piston are chrome plated, for protection against corrosion and wear.

Fully hydraulic lifting unit: Thanks to the corrosion prevention system, during every lifting and lowering movement, the cylinder is submerged in oil on either side of the sealing sleeve. This means that both the piston and the cylinder are constantly in an oil bath, effectively protecting the cylinder walls against corrosion.

Time-saving (I):: The hydro-pneumatic quick lift rapidly moves the piston rod to the lifting point.

Time-saving (II): The hydro-pneumatic forced return rapidly retracts the piston even when unloaded. The piston is in effect “pulled” back into its rest position.

Precision: The step-less fine-adjustment stroke permits the pit lift to be positioned accurately on the vehicle. Important for precise lifting and when installing assemblies.

Minimum effort: The pneumatic motor enables the load to be lifted at the push of a button – without any physical effort.

Ergonomics: To allow maximum freedom of movement in the pit, the operating controls are located on the front. Large controls permit easy operation even when wearing gloves.

studies found lung cancer increases in those exposed to

diesel exhaust for over a decade.2

Intended Use

Pollution from fumes, gas and dust is a serious problem in an enclosed shop environment. Most welding fume particles are not breathable, and can be comprised of up to 80% sub micron-sized particles. Intended Use

ARI-HETRA Air-Hydraulic Floor Jacks are suitable for partially lifting a heavy-duty vehicle to allow for the removal/replacement of one wheel at a time.

ARI-HETRA carries a full line of air-hydraulic telescoping floor jacks.

Our full line of jacks are built from superior materials with attention to high-quality and detail. This line features reliability testing and guaranteed efficiency. System components for all our floor jacks are constructed using technologically advanced machinery designed to achieve the highest level of precision.

Extensions are fabricated using high-quality steel with chrome coating on the external sliding parts, while the pneumatic parts are treated with an anti-corrosion process. The hydraulic circuit, built with holes inside the cylinder structure, guarantees a perfect seal against oil leaks. The rod scrapers prevent dust and other foreign matters from damaging the cylinder. The built-in safety valves eliminate accidental overloads and also prevent the load from dropping during an air-pressure loss.

A two-position lever on the handle controls the raising as well as the pneumatic vacuum descent of the jack. The low profile frame makes it easy to position the jack, while the total tilting of the handle on the frame greatly reduces the jack’s dimensions, requiring less storage space.

ARI-HETRA’s Portable Hydraulic Fork-Lift Truck Jack is a small, lightweight unit but provides impressive lifting force. Extensions and the additional bracket allow for a variety of lifting positions - directly with the piston or with side bracket. As a versatile unit, the portable jack can be operated using a hand pump when no air source is available. With this application, the portable jack is usable anywhere, with no need to go to specific maintenance areas for servicing a vehicle. Or, it can be operated using an air-hydraulic pump powered by compressed air which allows the jack to be operated very quickly. Once the required height is reached, the hydraulic pump unit can be disconnected and used for service on another vehicle since the cylinder will hold its position.

This brake lathe operates directly on the vehicle without removing the shoe, saving you time and producing a truly aligned brake shoe. This lathe can operate on reduction hub axles as well as conventional axles. By measuring the internal diameter of the drum, it allows you to cut and obtain perfect contact between the shoes and drum for full braking efficiency. Positioning the lathe on the hub is quick and easy.

Intermittent FeedingIntermittent feeding is a unique feature present on all ARI-HETRA brake lathes that maintains an evenly cut surface and virtually eliminates the spiral effect produced by traditional brake lathes. An improperly surfaced rotor that has a spiral cut is the main cause of brake pad radial shifting and results in braking problems.

ARI-HETRA’s Model WS-BL1500 Brake Lathe is designed to turn drums, rotors and flywheels of trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles. This lathe makes it possible to turn heavy-duty truck drums with dual-wheels and hubs still mounted. The lathe is equipped with a stout 50 mm diameter arbor shaft so no outboard support is necessary. The lathe works with a digital rheostat which allows continuous variation of the spindle’s revolutions. The speed of the spindle’s revolution can be adjusted at any time to react to the condition of the drum, rotor surface or the vibration level. With this feature, cutting time can be optimized without negative effects on the surface of the drum or rotor. This versatile machine can handle a number of different turning jobs from discs to drums. ARI-HETRA also offers an optional cutting tool for flywheels.
