One is a noxious weed, the other is an increasingly rare native

• The native– Caltha palustris, Marsh Marigold. 5-9 deep yellow

petals. Leaves round to kidney shaped.

• The Alien– Ranunculus ficaria, 8 yellow petals, leaves heart

shaped.
