The surge capacity of three times continuous output ensures that Arcturus® i-HPG can continue to deliver power, whilst the internal diesel generator starts up to support a higher load.

OPzV Batteries – Tubular GEL Technology

OPzV Batteries retain a longer service life due to their increased durability under deep cyclic conditions, ideal for demanding applications requiring a high number of discharges. Unique to OPzV Batteries is the incorporation of tubular plate technology providing optimum high-cycle stability. Due to innovative Gel technology, OPzV Batteries are maintenance-free retaining H2O content.

Arcturus® is Firefly’s new range of secure integrated hybrid power generators (i-HPG). With both a diesel generator and hybrid energy storage contained within one secure unit, Arcturus® provides a simple all in one power solution ensuring drastically reduced fuel use and CO2 emissions. Delivered in a form factor that eliminates tampering and fuel theft vulnerability, Arcturus® also delivers class leading noise attributes with 0 dbA when in hybrid mode and just 65 dbA when the internal diesel generator is running.

The first in the range to be released is Arcturus® One available with diesel generator sets ranging in size from 45-100 kVA, all provided with an internal bunded 1,000 litre sub-base fuel tank. In addition, inverter options range from 12-24 kVA and useable storage from 24-48 kWh. Arcturus® One offers Firefly’s unique single phase and three phase switching as standard for maximum flexibility.

With a Tier IIIA compliant engine and hybrid storage, this generator delivers the lowest emissions of any rental specification generator on the market today and complies with all European regulations. Twin silencers and innovative sound attenuation techniques ensure Arcturus® is seen but never heard. Arcturus® One also boasts the latest OPzV battery technology providing 1,500 cycles at 80% D.o.D or enough for over six years of typical use.

Designed and built in the UK to ISO:9001 standards, Arcturus One is straight-forward and easy to use. With its control panel rated to IP65, it offers peace of mind for those concerned about fuel security, environment and noise.

Arcturus® Two is an integrated Hybrid Power Generator (i-HPG) combining both a diesel generator and energy storage, to form a secure stand-alone hybrid power solution. Available with diesel generator sets ranging in size from 120-350 kVA, Arcturus® Two houses an internal bunded sub-base fuel tank of up to 2,000 litres. Like Arcturus® One, it also boasts the latest OPzV battery technology, providing up to 90 – 135 kWh of usable energy storage (80% D.o.D) (1,500 cycles) and including inverters options ranging from 48-72 kVA.

Arcturus® Two features twin silencers and innovative sound attenuation techniques to ensure it's seen but never heard (65 dBA). An optional ATEX safety pack is also available, with Chalwyn Valve (safety air intake cutoff), a spark arrester and ATEX ventilation fans, for sites with potentially combustible environments such as offshore sites and mines. Arcturus® Two also offers Firefly’s unique single phase or three phase switching.

Arcturus® Two is simple to use and dramatically reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Rated to IP65 and containerised in a 20ft ISO container, Arcturus® Two is designed and built in the UK to ISO 9001, standards compliant with European regulations. Straightforward and easy to use, the secure container offers peace of mind to those concerned about fuel security, environment and noise.
