Religion Most temple are built for religious

reasons. They’re like churches for religions like Buddhist and Muslim. Some religions use temple to put out offerings for there gods.

Taj Mahal The Taj Mahal was built in 1631 it was

fully constructed out of marble. It took twenty- thousand people to build the Taj Mahal and it cost 200,000,000 dollars to build.

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat was built in 1220 ad it was built in Cambodia. In Angkor there are more than one hundred stone temples.

Thean Hou Temple The Thean Hou temple represents the

queen of the heavens and is one of the largest temples in south east Asia (it’s also one of the most visited). They started building it in 1981 and finished 1987. It was built in china.

Yonghe temple The Yonghe temple was built in Tibet

1964. It takes up 66,400 square metres of land (16 acres). For decoration there are 4,000 pieces of silk different colours and it’s Buddhist.

Wat Chiang man It was built in 1927 and the oldest

structure in it is the Chiang Lom Chedi. The fifteen elephants represent a sea of unformed matter that holds up the Chedi. The Chiang Lom Chedi’s architecture originated from Sri Lanka.
