    The picture on the left shows a

    model of the dinin room in m!

    coo"er! school pro#ect and

    demonstrates the $iew out of

    its onl! window% The dininroom is meant to &e the place

    where &oth' the students and

    the teachers' would ather

    toether to en#o! the food the!

    made durin the da!% Ta"in

    this into account' I decided the

    function of m! windows should&e mainl! to i$e a panoramic

    $iew to the ri$er and to

    recreate the wonderful outside

    atmosphere% As the students

    are pro&a&l! oin to ha$e

    their classes in the earl! parts

    of the da!' I thouht that thedinin room will &e more used

    later in the e$enins' which is

    In contrast to the dinin

    room' in the "itchen' the

    decision on the placin of

    the windows was &ased

    on more practical than

    aesthetic approach% I

    aimed for an e$enl!

    distri&uted liht across

    the whole space' i$in

    each student appropriate

    wor"in conditions% There

    are ( series of - windows

    each placed on opposite

    walls' one of which is

    facin the ri$er and the

    other . the par"in lot'

    where all the food will &e

    deli$ered% There is morepanoramic /m lon

    window' showin a $iew

    to the main entrance

    intense in half of the

    room' than in the other

    half which ma"es the

    lihtin une$en% Despite

    that' there is no lac" ofliht in an! part of the

    room' which is one of the

    positi$e aspects of this

    particular desin%

    Ta"in into account the 2aws that the

    pre$ious desin had' I decreased the

    heiht of the main window with 3%4m

    and made it dou&le la5ed% I also

    added ( triple la5ed roof lihts with

    &ars a&o$e each rectanular ta&le to

    distri&ute the liht more e$enl! around

    the space% E$en thouh the space is

    more e$enl! lihted' the chanes we

    insu6cient to reduce the &rihtness

    due to the &i window%

    After the last chanes' I reduced

    the heiht of the panoramic

    window e$en more' ma"in it

    3%4m' and the width to /m% I also

    placed it hiher a&o$e the round. 1%4m from the 2oor 7with

    pre$ious 3%8m% This resulted in

    creatin an e$en lihtin

    throuhout the whole dinin area'

    thouh not as impressi$e as the

    oriinal one and ha$in lu9 le$elsaround 133 to /33 in the whole

    space% It can &e concluded that

    the desin of the room has

    impro$ed from the rearranement

    of the la5in area% As this area is

    oin to &e used mostl! in the

    e$enins' I &elie$e that thisamount of da!liht is a proper

    solution%
