  • International performative symposium

    Android Paranoid

I am smart but my brain is run in California…

I am smart but my brain is run in California… Prevailing notions about the future are often set in sterile, white rooms. They are optimized to be energy effi cient and ecologically sound. Unob- trusive, silent and remotely controlled. Was the future always so quiet? One rarely perceives a building to be as high-tech as it is. Do we need a new design, a new system of expression, in architecture? Do we surrender ourselves to technology because that which we cannot see, we also cannot design?

Through lectures, performances and fi lm screenings, the international symposium will host a journey through current scenarios of the future to address the ambiguous infl uence of digitalisation on architecture and our cities, the power of “Big Data”, smart cities and their vulnerabilities.

Accompanied by the installation “Metropolitan Fictions” designed by architect Nadine Zinser-Junghanns.
