With more than 50 years’ experience designing and manufacturing air management

solutions and working in partnership with architects and designers, Holyoake

Industries has a keen understanding of what specifiers are looking for. Its systems

are all developed to complement contemporary interior design standards, to enhance

the aesthetics of all locations in which they are installed, and to provide efficient and

effective air management.

Within this brochure is a selection of examples of the company’s range of products,

all shown in real life applications and settings. These products are designed to

Architectural Selection of Holyoake Products

The CFP Ceiling Fixed Pattern Radial

Swirl Diffuser range is designed

for large, open office spaces and

education facilities where there’s a

need for high-quality air flow.

The CFP Series is designed to blend

unobtrusively into its environment, making

it well suited to commercial locations where

aesthetics are important.

Each diffuser is constructed with swirl deflection blades that produce a highly

turbulent radial airflow pattern, resulting in rapid temperature equalisation and

ensuring a comfortable environment. The CFP diffuser is suitable for use where there

are increased temperature differentials and variable air volumes, as the ceiling effect

is maintained from minimal through to very high air flow rates.

With the CFP Series, the induction swirl pattern produces high room air diffusion

quality. Air is drawn up into the supply air path, mixing at a high level and reducing

the chance of draughts while creating optimum conditions in the space.

Ceiling Radial Induction Swirl Diffusers were selected for the headquarters of the

National Library (left) to blend seamlessly into the contemporary interior design

scheme. The same CFP – with exposed ducting – has been used in Albany Senior

High School as a dramatic design feature (below).

CSS Ceiling Slot Swirl Diffusers have

been designed to provide attractive,

unobtrusive, high-quality indoor air

diffusion.

While good air quality is always a focus in

commercial locations such as restaurants and

hotel lobbies, it is just as critical to consider

the visual environment. Holyoake CSS radial

pattern diffusers are designed to meet both

criteria, and tailormade solutions can be created to meet individual needs.

Made up of slots in a radial angled pattern that produce a circular, swirling airflow,

the CSS achieves high room air diffusion quality due to its swirling motion. Strong

induction draws room air up into the supply air flow path which results in mixing at a

high level, reducing draughts and uneven temperature gradients.

The airflow pattern from the CSS Slot Swirl Diffuser can be adjusted easily via

the diffuser face. By rotating the pattern blades, the airflow can be directed in an

external, internal or vertical air discharge swirl pattern. It can also be used for exhaust

situations.

Ceiling Slot Swirl Diffusers are equally effective when used at a reduced volume,

ensuring uniform temperature gradients. For a clean, uncluttered ceiling appearance,

diffusers are powdercoated to suit individual applications, such as this building lobby

(left) and café (below).

The CRS achieves high room air diffusion quality and is well suited to large areas, call

centres, retail and office spaces and waiting rooms.

Constructed entirely from sheetmetal, the CRS is a lightweight, but robust, diffuser

that can easily be installed into most ceiling spaces.

The Ceiling Multi Pattern series of

diffusers is designed to complement

CMP diffusers are available in multiple blade

patterns that can be customised to blend

into different traditional and contemporary

environments.

The tough aluminium construction of this ceiling diffuser ensures it is rugged and

yet still lightweight and clean-lined in appearance, with precisely mitred corners and

concealed fixings. This time-proven product has been perfected over the years to

look great, and other improvements ensure it offers the best possible performance

and style.

In these two high-end retail environments (left and below) CMP diffusers have been

selected to create an atmosphere that is comfortable for shoppers, with a subtle and

unobtrusively effective air flow.

The FSD Floor Swirl Diffuser is

specifically designed for raised access

floors that conceal air distribution

systems.

Holyoake Industries specialises in diffusion

products where raised floors are part of the

design concept. The circular FSD diffuser,

manufactured in glass-filled polycarbonate, lies

flush with the floor. The hardwearing trim ring

flange secures carpets and prevents the edges

from fraying. An adjustable mounting clamp

adapts to any floor thickness and ensures

installation is simple and secure, and a dust

basket catches anything that might fall through

the diffuser face.

The JD Jet Diffuser provides an

attractive air management option

in large areas such as airports and

shopping malls. A powerful system, it

quickly circulates large volumes of air

throughout big, open spaces.

Jet Diffusers suit applications where substantial supply air flow and throw distances

are required. These versatile diffusers can be switched from jet mode to diffuser

mode by simply turning the core. Constructed from three cones, they provide

uniformity of appearance throughout the range. Jet Diffusers come complete with a

patented mounting system made from spun aluminium which a provides a perfect

finish for both wall and ceiling applications.

The ECO Automatic

This energy-smart product is designed to heat or cool a space quickly, and it has the

capability to automatically alter a portion of the supply airflow from a horizontal to a

vertical throw, depending on the temperature required.

The ECO Automatic is designed to be very easy to install into new locations. It is also

easy to retrofit, as it can be slotted into the same sized hole as other similar types of

diffusers. A slightly larger diameter on the outer flange will cover any imperfections

in the ceiling finish that may have been left when the original diffuser was removed.

By flush-mounting the diffuser into the ceiling, the finished result is clean and

unobtrusive.

The ECO is constructed from tough UV-stabilised and fire-rated engineering polymer,

which is coloured white. A full range of automatic, manual, round- and square-faced

diffusers are available in several sizes. Visible surfaces have a textured finish.

The energy-efficient ECO Automatic diffuser, finished in white, fits discreetly into

the ceiling of this restaurant (left). It is equally well suited to high-end residential

wherever it is specified. It is efficient and offers

flexibility of design with an air pattern that can

be adjusted to project air horizontally or vertically.

With a compact, flat trim flange, its appearance

on the ceiling is sharp and modern.

All CRA diffusers have three cones for uniformity

of appearance. In its standard form, the diffuser

is manually adjustable to change the supply air

pattern from a horizontal discharge for cooling

to a vertical angle for heating. With the radial

supply air pattern and the reduced flat trim ring,

the diffuser achieves a better ceiling effect

than standard round ceiling diffusers, making it

suitable for a variety of applications such as retail

locations where a cool, comfortable environment

is important. The CRA and CRP come complete

with a patented installation system.

aluminium construction provides a perfect finish, irrespective of the ceiling design. In

this boutique footwear store (below), a self-powered CRA is used to accommodate

the comfort of shoppers in all seasons.

discrete length linear slot diffuser that suits modern interiors, while

Every business has slightly differing requirements, from the size of the office space

to the number of staff working in it. The ability to offer flexible air diffusion solutions

that can be tailormade to suit specific needs is a feature of the CSD system.

This ensures the system is particularly suitable for variable volume applications and is

ideal for perimeter air supply in major commercial buildings. The Holyoake patented

mounting frame, with concealed fixings, allows this system to blend seamlessly

into contemporary interior design schemes. L-shaped corner sections allow the CSD

system to continuously follow the perimeter of a room or ceiling detail.

CSD diffusers have an architecturally linear appearance, and can also be supplied

Ceiling Wash Diffusers and CJD Ceiling Jet

Diffusers. These unique products offer a high

visual profile and quality air performance.

In this indoor hotel pool, a perimeter slot

diffuser around the outside of the ceiling

reduces condensation on the windows (left).

In addition, a Linear Bar Grille fits neatly into

the timber panelling above the pool. The City

Council chose Ceiling Slot Diffusers for the air

management in the auditorium of the council

building (below). The easy-to-install Ceiling Slot

Diffusers allow a comfortable environment to

be maintained in the auditorium, even at full

capacity, without compromising the aesthetic

of the panelled ceiling.

Fineline Grilles: Series LD Linear Grilles are designed with a long or

Designed for supply and return air distribution, Linear Grilles can be combined with

a flangeless surround and an unobtrusive PMF Plaster Mounting Frame, making

them ideal for apartments, hotel rooms and residential locations, offering architects

a flexible and aesthetic option that harmonises with the surrounding interior

environment. Linear Grilles are constructed from extruded aluminium, and they can

be supplied in alternative frame types including a flangeless style.

The Flangeless Grille Series - PMF is versatile and can be used with all LD Series

Bar Grilles. Designed for sidewalls, the Grille Series - PMF is the least intrusive

product on the market. Constructed from extruded aluminium to precise standards,

these flangeless grilles are easy to install and finish to a high standard due to a

unique patented mounting frame system. The mounting frame allows an aesthetic

appearance that would otherwise be virtually impossible to achieve effectively.

The linear bulkhead grille is particularly designed for large, open areas such as the

lobby in this apartment building (left). Alternatively, they are equally well suited to

spaces such as the living room (below), where the grille fits unobtrusively above the

skirting board, creating a sleek, crisp line around the perimeter of the room.

Linear flangeless grilles blend unobtrusively into the ceiling of this large, open-plan

living space (left), making these diffusers the perfect solution for the air management

in this high-end residential home. The linear grilles installed in this indoor swimming

pool area (below) provide an attractive, effective drainage solution. The flangeless

appearance of the linear grille installed in this tiled concrete floor is only possible with

the help of a patented hidden mounting frame.

Outside louvers create simple, clean lines on the exterior of

commercial buildings. They also have the practical application of

reducing water penetration and improving air circulation into and out

of buildings.

Outside louvers are available in a range of blade widths and configurations, including

horizontal and vertical blade orientations, and a special drainable louver. The louvers

can also be supplied as doors, and the operation of the closable louver can be manual

or motorised.

Holyoake also manufacture penthouse louvers that can be mounted on a variety

of roof curbs. Designed and constructed from solid, extruded aluminium to be a

permanent part of a building, these louvers maintain their attractive appearance and

provide effective weather protection for many years.

Holyoake louvers are included in the AutoCAD Revit Suite, cementing their popularity

with architects, building designers and engineers. Talk to Holyoake about your special
