THE NEW 208Re-energisedThe Peugeot 208 has been made to look even more sporty and stylish than its predecessor. Nissan Juke NISMO RSbeats world record at GoodwoodBeating his own 2011 world record driving the Nissan Juke NISMO RS, Jann Mardenborough set the fastest ever time for driving a mile on two wheels in a four-wheeled car at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed – it took him two minutes and 10 seconds, beating his previous record by a massive 45 seconds.

Jann attempted the fantastic feat a total of six times, but managed to set a new record on his first attempt. The key component in this considerable time improvement is the Juke NISMO RS, as opposed to the Nissan Juke he drove in 2011. The NISMO RS is the performance version of the Juke – which is Nissan’s most popular crossover.What makes this record even more impressive? It was achieved whilst scaling Goodwood’s famous hillclimb course – the culmination of three months of set-up and practice for the event. Jann said, ‘I was shocked at how much faster the Juke NISMO RS was, and to take 45 seconds off … was unbelievable.’

Bromsgrove employees go 113 miles for Children In Need.

ARBURY Peugeot employees from Bromsgrove were among those who recently took part in a 113-mile bike ride for Children In Need.

Accompanied by Pudsey Bear, the team started their trip in Leamington Spa and went from there to the town’s Arbury dealership, along with others in Walsall, Lichfield and Nuneaten before crossing the finish line back in Leamington Spa.

The aim was to raise £2,000 for the charity. Staff from the company are also taking part in many other events with dealerships across the country to exceed the £1 million goal for the cause.

Peugeot has raised more than £700 million for Children In Need since the first live telethon in 1980.

Paul Goodwin, Operations Director at the Arbury Group, said he was ‘incredibly proud’ of the staff, adding he would like to thank loyal customers for their continued support and contributions.
