Post entry fees will be charged on all incomplete entries, entries received without payment, and those entries postmarked after MAY 23, 2009. Post entries will be accepted up to the start of the session to be entered.
There may be only one owner per entry blank. Every exhibitor or his agent or trainer must sign the entry blank. All fees must accompany entry. Improperly completed entry forms will be returned to exhibitor and post entry fees charged.
Note: AHA Affidavits are no longer allowed. A valid membership card must be presented at time of entry.

PUREBRED ARABIAN DIVISION
Horses shown in this division must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Registry of America, Inc. and/or the Canadian Horse Registry or, if under one year of age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for, (Exception: Art. 1699N.1), and must be entered under their full registered name. A copy of the registration papers showing proof of ownership must be submitted with entry form at the time of making entry. These copies will be returned when exhibitors pick up their numbers. In the case of a sale or lease, it is required that a contract of the sale or lease, or statement from owner, be submitted with the copy of registration papers. (Exception: horses under 1 year of age that are eligible for registry and registration applied for.)

Horses shown in this section must have been issued a certificate of registration from the International Arabian Horse Association in the Half Arabian or Anglo Arabian Registry, or if under one year of age, be eligible for registry and registrations applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. Classes in this section shall be conducted in accordance with all rules in the Arabian Division. RULES AND REGULATIONS
Photostatic copies of your Amateur Certification, USEF Membership Card, AHA Membership Card and registration papers for each horse entered MUST accompany your entries. Copy of Negative Coggins test within 12 months required for all horses, Health Certificates within 30 days required for out of state horses.
EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.
Show management will be charged with the responsibility of enforcing all USEF and AHA rules. Special emphasis will be placed on the rules pertaining to the retention of natural action; excessive hoof length, weighted shoes or action brought about by these or similar artificial appliances. The use of chains, rollers or similar devices on the show grounds during or before a show are prohibited and the show committee shall bar violators from further participation for the remainder of the show and they shall forfeit all entry fees and winnings for the entire show. Show management retains the right to request measurement of hoofs and inspection of pads of any or all horses in any or all classes.
KENTUCKY RIDERS AND BREEDERS SOCIETY, INDIANA ARABIAN HORSE CLUB AND ROBERTS ARENA accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any property or equipment, or for any damages to any animals on exhibition at these shows.
DRESS: It is the tradition of the show ring that riders and drivers be correctly attired for the class in question, THAT ATTENDENTS BE NEATLY DRESSED, and horse properly presented. The show committee will bar any entry or person from entering the ring if not suitably presented to appear before an audience.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES: The Show Committee reserves the right to cancel or combine any classes or make any scheduling change for the betterment of the show.
PROTESTS: All protests will be in accordance with USEF rules. No exhibitors shall approach a Judge unless he first obtains permission from the Show Committee or Steward. Protests may be made to the Show Committee or Steward by an exhibitor, an agent, a trainer, or the parent of a Junior Exhibitor for any violation of the rules. All protests must be in writing signed by the protester, addressed to the Show Secretary, and received with appropriate fees, within 48 hours of the alleged violations. This deposit will be returned in the event the protest is allowed.
DISQUALIFICATIONS: If any Exhibitor has made any false statements regarding an animal exhibited, or if any Exhibitor shall attempt to interfere with the Judges in the performance of their duties, he or she shall be excluded from exhibiting. Any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the official on the part of the owner, rider, exhibitor, groom or driver will disqualify the horse from being judged. The Show Management reserves the right to remove any of the previous mentioned, (owner, rider, etc.), without being liable to compensation or damages.
CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES: To be eligible to show in a Championship class, a horse must be properly entered, shown and judged in a qualifying class as specified.
ATTENTION HANDLERS: Halter horses brought into the ring showing signs of whip marks will be penalized. Excessive use of the whip in the show ring will be penalized.

JUNIOR EXHIBITORS: Junior Exhibitor classes are limited to riders who have not yet reached their 18th birthday as of December 1, of the preceding year.
PRIZE MONEY: There will be no prize money awarded in classes of five horses or less. All paybacks will be made in the ring. There are no required showbacks.
USEF CERTIFICATION & AMATEUR CLASSES: Every person who has reached his 18th
birthday and competes in classes for amateurs under USEF rules must possess current amateur certification issued by USEF This certification must be available for inspection or the competitor must have lodged with the Show Secretary at least one hour prior to such class, an application for such certification provided by the USEF. In the event that a person holds an unrevoked certification but does not have it in his immediate possession, the Show Secretary may accept a signed affidavit to that effect which must be submitted to the USEF. Individuals joining USEF on the day of the show must fill out a current USEF membership application.
CALLS FOR CLASSES: When the start of any class with no posted order is being delayed by horses not ready to perform, the competition may be closed at the order of the Judges or Show Committee, provided warning is issued and exhibitors are given 3 minutes in which to appear a the In-Gate ready to participate. In classes in which horses compete collectively, after warning is issued, the In-Gate must be closed 2 minutes after the first horse enters the ring.
TACK CHANGES: A request of a Tack Change will be honored only if the same horse or same rider has back-to-back classes. Normal Tack Changes will be 3 minutes followed by a 2-minute gate for a total of 5 minutes. A normal Tack Change must be requested of the Paddock Master at least 3 classes in advance. Should any horse or rider have back-to-back classes and additional time be required for this change, the Show Office must be notified of this fact prior to the start of the session in which this extended Tack Change is requested.
ADMISSION TO RING: No persons will be allowed in the ring except participants in class, judge, ringmaster, assistants and show photographer. Attendants will be allowed only after being called by the Judge or Ringmaster.
GROOMS AND ATTENDANTS: All grooms or attendants entering the ring must be properly attired. (See Dress Ruling)
HEADERS: Permitted in all driving classes, but MUST be properly attired.
HEALTH CERTIFICATES: Health Certificates made within the past 30 days for out of state horses and a Negative Coggins Test taken with 6 months prior to show date for all horses will be required.
STABLING: All stalls will be reserved as paid for - No stall reservations without payment. Stabling is in permanent stalls with doors. NO FIRST BEDDING FURNISHED. BEDDING WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT EXHIBITORS ORDER SHAVINGS IN ADVANCE AND THEY WILL BE DELIVERED TO YOUR STALL(S) PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. SHAVINGS NOT ORDERED IN ADVANCE MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE EXHIBITOR.
REFUNDS: Refunds on fees will be made upon request with a written statement form your veterinarian if received by Close of Pre-Entries. No refund on stalls after Close of Pre-Entries. Office changes will be deducted.

SHOW ARENAS: Bradley Arena (Main Show Arena) is approximately 108 feet by 216 feet.Robert’s Arena (Warm Up Arena) is approximately 110 feet by 188 feet. Other, smaller warm-up arenas are also available. Footing in both arenas is a dirt/sand mixture. Dressage / Sport Horse Arena is outside and is approximately 150 feet by 300 feet, with a sand/clay mixture for footing.

Ground Rules
1.) No parking in any restricted area. All vehicles and trailers must be parked in:
• Grass parking lots beyond barns 8, 9 and 10.
• The gravel parking lot(s).
• Camper rental area when you rent such a space.
• Cars only are to be parked in front of the main arenas. This parking is
restricted against trailer parking.
2.) All vendors should be in the front. No vendors should be out back. Care should be exercised with extension cords. No extension cords are to lay across driveways (to keep animals from walking on the cords). When an extension cord must lay across a sidewalk, the cord should be under a protective covering to keep people from tripping on the cord.
3.) Overnight, all horses are to be in a stall. When rental stalls are not available, horses are to be kept in a trailer during the night. Absolutely no horse may be tied to any fence at any time.
4.) No motorized vehicles or bicycles are allowed on any porch or sidewalk at any time.
5.) All manure must go in the yellow dumpsters. Manure is not to be put or left on the blacktop. To do so will result in additional billing for the cost of cleanup.

SHOW HORSE ALLIANCE SADDLE SEAT STANDARD
The purpose of the Show Horse Alliance shall be to record pedigree information and promote the Saddle Seat English Type horse. The animal shall be judged according to the following standard. Whether in-hand, in harness, or under saddle, the ideal horse shall possess:
A. MOTION – Balanced and correct with obvious power from the hindquarters flowing into an elevated front end. The front legs must show elasticity, flexion and extension. Impulsion should originate in the hindquarters of the animal, with the hocks driving from beneath the mass of the horse while performing required gaits.B. NECK – Very long, set vertically and high on the shoulder, arched and well flexed at the poll with a fine, clean throatlatch. The neck should be shapely and supple but without a pronounced crest.C. HEAD – Expressive and alert with moderate refinement and in proportion to each individual horse.D. WITHERS and SHOULDER – Prominent withers with a well-defined, sloping, laid-back shoulder.E. Proportionately short back, strongly coupled with a long hip and relatively level or moderately sloping croup.F. LEGS – Adequate bone, correct from all angles with long well angled pasterns. Long forearms and short cannon bones in front, hind legs with low-set hocks and good angulation.G. HOOVES – Proportionate, round and symmetrical (not dished or clubbed) with wide heels.H. The animal should not lack in substance, especially across the chest and through the girth, shoulder and hip.I. The masculinity of stallions and femininity of mares should be considered. Animals should be in good muscle tone with a smooth glossy coat.J. The horse shall have a relatively high-set tail, carried straight.K. When observed at rest or in motion, the horse must exhibit naturally high carriage and presence, and when animated, extreme brilliance and freedom of motion.
IN HAND JUDGING PROCEDURESEntries in SHA In-Hand classes are to be scored in comparison to the Standard which represents the ideal Saddle Seat type show horse. In addition, to be suitable and functional, conformation, motion carriage, style and quality should be well represented and considered. Handlers are encouraged to present their horses in a natural manner which best displays their natural strengths, attitude and finest features of each horse.Horses to be presented as Show Horses, wearing an appropriate show type halter or bridle, and may be shown in a bit, if age 2 or over. One appropriately dressed handler and assistant allowed per horse during presentation. Each handler or assistant may present more than one horse during the class and carry a whip with or without a plastic or paper bag attached. Their use should not interfere with other class entries. Handlers or assistants are also allowed use of small shaker cans or tins and should be courteous to all other exhibitors in their use.

SHOW HORSE ALLIANCE: ENGLISH PLEASURE General - The English Pleasure horse generally has less motion and animation than Three-Gaited and Park horses, but should be alert and exhibit high, free moving action. Horses must be shown with full mane and tail. Appointments and Attire - A double-bridle, consisting of curb and snaffle bits, and a flat English-type saddle are required. Conservative, informal dress is appropriate. Gaits - walk, trot and canter
SHOW HORSE ALLIANCE: FINE HARNESS General - The Fine Harness Horse should be the epitome of beauty, brilliance, elegance, expression and high motion, whose energy should be displayed through animation rather than speed. Appointments and Attire - Shown in an appropriate fine harness and four-wheeled show buggy. Bridle with blinkers, Liverpool or snaffle bit with separate over check or side-check is required. Protective boots are permitted. Headers are permitted in line-up.Gaits - animated walk and park trot. Judges may also call "Show Your Horse" in Open, Junior Horse, Limit, Novice and Maiden classes.
Kentucky Arabian and Half-Arabian Breeders Alliance (KAHABA)
KAHABA Mission Statement The Kentucky Arabian and Half Arabian Breeders Alliance pledges to support the existing Kentucky AHA approved club and Pyramid Society members to act as the appendix association known as KAHABA. Our goal is to apply for and administer the KBIF approved for the Arabian and Half Arabian by the state of Kentucky. We strive to create an incentive program that will be clearly defined and encourage all levels of ability, interest, and passion for the Arabian horse. In doing so we will endorse all existing Kentucky AHA clubs as well as the Pyramid Society in their endeavors. We insure that the up most consideration is given to each decision made by KAHABA for economic growth of the equine industry within the state of Kentucky KAHABA vows to support all interest in AHA events held within the state as well as but not limited to competitions and rides. Our function is to the Kentucky equine industry and not limited to existing exclusively Arabian horse events. We are defined as an alliance to promote the owners of Arabian and Half Arabian horses in all events equine within the state of Kentucky. We will contribute to the Arabian breed by creating incentive for owning a Kentucky Bred for use in competitions at all levels within but not limited to the state of Kentucky and by rewarding stallion owners and breeders for the success of Kentucky breds.
