A step by step guide

Go to your school homepage

Click on Teacher/ Administrators

Enter your username and password.

Set Reading Goals

Click on class record books (under the blue Accelerated Reader title)

Click on Reading Practice Goals

Select Marking Periods

Choose all marking periods

Click SAVE.

Set Goals for each marking period

Click Edit Student Goals

Area 1 AR Required Points

Pre-K= 5 points Kinder= 10 points 1st grade= 12 points 2nd grade= 14 points 3rd grade= 16 points 4th grade= 18 points 5th grade= 20 points

Set Points Goal and Book Level Goal

Type in the required goals for each student

Click SAVE

Book Level

This is where you set the book level goal for the students.

You will put in their grade level as this goal. For special situations such as IEPs, etc. You

can set this goal to the level needed.

Repeat Goal Setting for each six weeks

Unlock a student

Click home Click Personnel,

Students, Parents

Under the heading students

Click clear locked students

Then click clear

Weekly AR Reports

Click on reports (under the blue accelerated reader tab)

Click on Reading Practice

Click on Diagnostic Reading Practice

Select Dates

Click on view report

Quiz Takers

Did your whole class test on a novel? Use quiz takers to run a report and see who

has tested and their results.

Click on home. Click on reports (under the blue Accelerated

Reader tab) Click on reading practice Click on quiz takers reading practice

Select a Quiz

Type the title and search

Check off titles you want

Click add all

Click save (on the left)

Word Count Report

Click on home. Click on reports (under the blue Accelerated

Reader tab) Click on reading practice Click on word count

Select date range.

Sort by word count (highest to lowest)

Click view report

Student Password List

Click on home Click on reports (under the blue accelerated

reader tab) Click on school management Click on student information
