WHAT ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR CLIENTS?

FIELD DAY GUIDESWe would use technology to replace field guides. Use beacons and GPS to create an app that tells farmers exactly what they are looking at. Not only would this provides farmers with data they believe is important but it creates an innovative experience for farmers ( just like the innovative crop they are looking at).

If we were to tie in some R&D into this app the client would be able to claim the 15% tax rebate on R&D. No idea what the R&D bit would be but with clients every little bit helps.

FIELD DAY EXPERIENCEWe would record fields day using 360 cameras, then use VR headsets to create a virtual tour of the site. Using a cheap VR headset like Google Cardboard (or a more expensive Samsung one) we could then use it in resellers and in small groups. Farmers would get to experience the crop, the landscape, the farm and the sounds.

CROP SIMLUATORThereis a wonderful saying - “you can’t hug a graph”. We would create an AR app that allows famers to simulate a crop. They choose seed treatment, fertiliser, pesticides etc and then watch the crop grow. The crop simulator gives farmers the ability to view the effect of different inputs.

VIRTUAL CATALOGUEThis idea simply allows a farmer to point a phone or iPad at a product and not only be able to read the relevant information but also to request that information sent to him or her.
