The Spectra collection of contemporary frameless shower enclosures and shower screensincludes straight and curved glass screens, hinged panels, spacious walk ins, hinged, bi-foldand sliding door enclosures. Available in a wide range of sizes and configurations. This stunningrange also has bespoke options catering for special heights, widths and angles. In-house glassetching is available and ClearShield Eco-SystemTM easy clean glass.

The Spectra frameless glass range also utilises the latest advances in waterproof bonding. Theunique system was developed by Aqata’s design team to facilitate Spectra’s easy installation, aslarge panels can be easily transported and assembled on site. Spectra has built in walladjustment for out of true walls, and is created from the finest materials using 8mm thick glasswith polished edges toughened to EN12150-1. Quality fittings are used throughout the rangewith solid corner brackets, hinges and substantial handles in beautiful polished chrome. Pleasenote steady bars can vary depending on the size and configuration of the enclosure.

The Spectra sliding doors incorporate stylish chrome and polished stainless steel accentsand continuous clear seals for watertight showering. At a standard height of 2000mm theSpectra sliding doors have a smooth gliding door action, with central clear seals and discreetpositive magnetic closing.

Designed to cope with the rigours of daily showering Spectra sliding, bi-fold and hinged doorsare also ideal for power showers & body jets.

Spectra is suitable for use in wet room applications or with Aqata’s wide range of fitter friendlyshower trays.

Aqata shower trays have a superb finish and complement the sleek lines of Spectra showerenclosures. The standard range of low level shower trays have an optional adjustable leg andpanel pack which allows flexibility with a choice of installation, low level, fitted flush to the tileor raised above the floor. Each shower tray comes complete with a quality chrome finish hi-flowwaste with removable trap for easy cleaning.


The Spectra SP300 Sliding Door Recess Option creates the perfect recess enclosure for anyhome. The single sliding door glides smoothly and effortlessly, and closes securely onto discreetmagnetic door seals. The clear central seals keep shower spray at bay whilst maintaining theframeless aesthetic.

Reduced height side panelsThe Spectra SP458 bespoke (featured right) has a reduced height sidescreen and a notched inline panel fitted onto a built in shower seat. Reducedheight side panels are available on Exclusive Solutions and Spectra ranges.We recommend that the dwarf wall is constructed next to the shower trayand then tiled on the inside to meet the top of the tray and form a watertightseal. All measurements must be taken after tiling and from the top of theshower tray. Dwarf wall side panels can also be angled if required.

Furniture panelsFurniture Panels are available within our Exclusive Solutions range to suitmany different applications and overcome the need to construct stud walls.Aqata have developed a special H section profile which is positioned tocorrespond with the fitted furniture height. The furniture will butt up to thecentre of this profile giving a perfect seal.

The top section is glass, and the lower section can be manufactured in avariety of standard options including white polypropylene and all overetched glass. Non standard options can also be manufactured.

ClearShield ECO-SYSTEM protection for glass provides a surface that:Resists staining from hard water depositsSaves time and effort and is easier to cleanKeeps your shower looking like new for longerEco friendly for a more hygienic environmentDoes not support the growth of bacteria

Unprotected glass can quickly and easily suffer permanent bonding oflimescale / mineral salts onto its surface causing staining and physicaldamage. Water spots become very difficult, if not impossible to removedespite regular cleaning. As a result, the appearance and hygienicenvironment of the shower are spoiled.

Water softners can diminish the effectiveness of ClearShield. Cheaperbrands of water softners do not remove salt. Glass should be squeegeeddown and dried with a soft micro cloth after every use.

The surface of award winning ClearShield glass is chemically non-reactive and ‘non-stick’. New ClearShield ECO-SYSTEM bondspermanently to the glass and as a multi stranded polymeric resin, it isstronger and more durable than silicon based easy clean systems.Limescale and other dirt will build up only half as fast, and will not bondto the glass. Cleaning is now a very simple task.

ClearShield ‘Non-Stick’ glass is used in a wide rangeof domestic, commercial, industrial and marineapplications and does not degrade. It has receivedmajor awards and recognition because of itsoutstanding performance, even in the harshestenvironments.


Care programmeAqata’s Screens and Shower Enclosures aredesigned for a lifetime of luxury showering andwith a little care and attention you can keep yourenclosure looking like new. Aqata stronglyrecommend that the glass and the framework arewiped down after every use with a squeegee anddried with a soft cloth.

Shower traysClean after every use with warm soapy water or mild detergent and wipe dry with a softcloth, never use gritty or abrasive cleaner. Limescale or fine scratches can be removedby the light use of T-Cut Original applied with a damp cloth and then polished off. Easyaccess waste trap should be removed and cleaned weekly, ensuring any debris is cleared.

Top tips• Squeegee and remove any water on the glass, frame and fittings after each use• Do not allow limescale to build up on the enclosure• Polish the glass and framework with Aqata Cleaner once a week• Do not leave neat cleaning products on the surfaces• Do not use any “spray on and leave” cleaning products• Ensure any non Aqata cleansers are non-abrasive and between pH 4 & 8• Do not use any cleaning products outside the recommended pH values• To remove limescale a solution of 50:50 white vinegar and water can be used• Ensure vinegar solution is rinsed thoroughly and polished off with a dry cloth

Glass cleanerAqata Glass Cleaner has been specially designed for use on the glass, framework andshower trays and should be used at least once a week for maximum effect. Aqata GlassCleaner has the added value of being environmentally friendly. This product should onlybe used on standard glass and not on ClearShield glass.

The governments Water RegulationsAdvisory Scheme recommend the use ofthermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and ourshowers meet those standards, with pre-settemperatures maintained even if the waterpressure drops. Our showers provide fullthermal protection allowing hot water to beblended to a safe temperature and will shutdown automatically within 1.5 seconds if thehot or cold water supplies fail.

Conforms with part G ofthe Building RegulationsLinneal thermostatic showers conformwith part G of the building regulationswhich states that any bathroomrefurbishment or new build should use athermostatic mixing valve as standardpractice.

TMV2 valves meet Government recommendations for the use of thermostatic

mixing valves in showers for all housing and domestic use. Certified valves

with TMV2 approval will significantly reduce the risks of accidental scalding

in the home when delivering hot water through a thermostatic mixing valve.

Aqata has chosen to work in conjunction with the industry experts toproduce a superb thermostatic shower valve with patented designthat is manufactured to exacting standards.

The unique cartridge design enters a new generation of thermostaticvalve technology and is WRAS approved to TMV2/TMV3recommended standards for anti scalding protection. Factored at38°C to 44°C for safe showering temperatures our thermostaticallycontrolled shower valves have no need for the red button system.

• Precise flow control• Precise thermostatic control to +/- 1°C even when there

is a change in water pressure• To prevent scalding the valves have full thermal protection

for either hot or cold water shut off. Automatic shutdown within1.5 seconds if hot or cold water supplies fail

• The valve cartridge is highly resistant to limescale/calcium buildup even in hard water areas

• Unique integral waterway construction with innovative reverseflow adaptability

• Ceramic disc cartridge on/off control• Suitable for use with all systems, gravity fed, pumped,

unvented high pressure or fully modulated combi boilers• Complete brass body valve with front access shut off valves for

easy maintenance• Thermostatic concealed shower valve• Polished chrome control knobs and valve plate• The valve can deliver 8.8 litres per minute at 0.1 Bar Pressure

Linneal Designer ShowersThe Linneal collection of thermostatic showers are designed for safeluxurious showering, combining performance, durability and sleekcontemporary styling with a wide range of options to choose from.

Linneal showers are precision engineered using the highest qualitymaterials and finished in beautiful polished chrome. Anti-scaleshower heads, handsets and body jets are incorprated for easymaintenance and our multi-spray handsets offer a choice ofshowering patterns.

The Linneal shower pole has a built in diverter to switch between theshower head and the handset and an adjustable riser to position thehandset, which is attached to a flexible hose. Wth an assortment ofoptions to choose from you can select your shower head, showerarm, handset, body jets and control valve to create your individualdesgner shower pole. Linneal shower screen braces are alsoavailable for Spectra and Minimalist screens to integrate the showerpole with the screen. See LNB200 series on page 171. Wallmounted shower heads and slide rail kits also offer the same flexibilityof choice. UsageWatertightness is a key consideration when choosing your shower enclosure. If yourequire complete water retention especially when using power showers and body jetschoose from our framed enclosures or the Spectra Sliding Door Collection. Installyour enclosure in a well ventilated area as steam and condensing vapour can resultin mineral deposits/build up. Please note that with shower screens and walk inenclosures water spray may extend beyond the length of the glass panel, dependentupon the power of the shower and its position. Please ensure a suitable waterproofand sealed floor finish is used outside the showering area.
