DCONDCON was an absolutely amazing experience this year and I am so proud of Baytown Christian Academy being represented at DCON. GCM received an award for consistent reporting on time, congratulations!

My installation as your LTG for the year of 2015-2016 took place at this year’s DCON. I taught forums and had an extravagant experience with my LTG friends and getting to meet so many new people from all across Texas and Oklahoma.

It’s time to start planning for next year’s DCON! Fundraising, awareness, and planning is the key to have your club attend DCON 2016. Clubs, you need to attend. DCON is not an event that should be passed over. If a club could only attend one event throughout the entire year, this is that event. Division 28 has not been participating in this event and it’s time to change that.

All current officers contact me about DCON planning and working with your school and local Kiwanis club to insure funding and scheduling.

I will include pictures in my next newsletter from DCON. If your club attended this year or has attended in the past, please send in any photos (from any year) to me and I will include them in the upcoming newsletter. Just send them to my email, which you can find under the contact section of this newsletter.

This new year offers so many opportunities for our division. I have many new and spectacular events planned. The number one thing our division needs to continue to do is to report. We are on a good trend and we need to keep it that way! Clubs who have not been reporting need to get on it! I’m not asking for the world. lol.

The next thing I am excited for is a secret event that I am holding the fall. I will release the idea after the summer has passed.

Summer offers a brand new opportunity to do some summer projects. Yes you must report during the summer. Yes you need to have meetings. It is encouraged to have one project each month during the summer. That’s easy and I’m sure you can do it. It allows you to build a loyal membership for the upcoming year and it gives the new officers an opportunity to handle responsibility before the new school year begins.

BUILD YOUR CLUB’S THIS UPCOMING SUMMER!

New YearOld officers, I need you to help me. Please send me all of your new officer’s information (name, phone number, and email). Forward this newsletter to them as well. You need to start to train the incoming officers on their duties. Do not just blindly give them your position. Work with them during the transition.

New officers, welcome! I am so excited to work with you this year! Please contact me after you have read my contact information. I need to work with you and really get to know you.

Training will be especially important. Even if your the old officers train the new officers, I will need to make sure you’re doing it properly. Old officers may misinform you on your duties.

Thanks!
