April Mandala by Ella 

In my series 12 Months & 12 Mandalas by Ella  this is the fourth Mandalas, April 

 Thank you for crocheting my Design, I hope you had fun along the way. For me it is 

important to enjoy every round and that it is fun. 

Crocheting should be a way to relax, a form of meditation.

Yarn: Capri from Katia I have used 5 colors, I have specified color 1, 2 etc. for each round. Consumption: 95g Crochet hook: 3 Size: 36cm

Description of stitches and other info: Ch= chain Sl st = Slip stitch sc = Single crochet Hdc = Half double crochet Dc = Double crochet BP Hdc = Back post half double crochet Bp Sc = Back post single crochet Bp Dc = Back post double crochet Х-stitch = skp one stitch, 1dc in next stitch, 1 dc in the previous skipped stitch. Puff: Puff-stitch crochet with a total of 11 loops are on the needle. Pull the yarn through all 11 loops, 1 sc to close the puff. This stitch is not counted as a stitch in the pattern.

**_** = Repeat as the pattern says *_* = Repeat around work (_) = Total of st in the round End all rounds with 1 sl st in 1st stitch If you use same yarn in all rounds you crochet sl st to stitch you should start the round in Start round with: sc = 1ch + 1sc in same st hdc = 2ch dc = 3ch

Color 1 Start with 5 ch which ends into a loop with 1 sl st in 1st ch Color 1 R1: 16dc in the ch5 space. color 1 R2: Start this round in same stitch you end round 1 with 1sc, *1sc in the space between dc, 1sc in the dc* (32sc) color 1 R3: Start this round in the same stitch you end round 2 with 1dc. *2ch, skip 1 stitch, 1dc in the next sc* (16dc, 16 ch2) color 2 R4: Start this round in the ch2 space with 1 puff, 2ch, 1sc in the dc, 2ch, *1puff in the next ch2 space, 2ch, 1sc in the dc, 2ch* (16 puff, 32 ch2, 16sc)

color 3 R5: Start this round in a puff with 1 Bp sc, 5ch *skip all stitches to next puff, 1 Bp sc in the puff, 5ch* (16 ch5, 16 Bp sc) Color 4 R6: Crochet 1 sc in every ch from the ch5. *skip the Bp sc, 1sc in every ch from next ch5* (80sc) color 4 R7: Start with 1dc in a stitch, 1 dc in the previous stitch = X-stitch. *Skip 1sc, 1dc in the next sc. 1dc in the previous sc* (40 X-stitch) color 3 R8: Start this round in the space between 2dc in a X-stitch with following: 1dc-1ch-1dc. *Skip 2dc, in the next space in the X-stitch work the following: 1dc-1ch-1dc* (40x 1dc-1ch-1dc) color 5 R9: Start in the ch1 space with 5dc, 2ch, skip 2dc-1ch-2dc. * 5dc in the next ch2 space, skip 2dc-1ch-2dc* (20x5dc, 20xch2) color 4 R10: Start in the 1st dc in a group of 5 with 1 Bp hdc. Continue with Bp hdc in the next 4dc, 1puff in the next skipped ch1 space from round 8. *Bp hdc in the next 5 dc, 1 puff in the skipped ch1 space from round 8* (20x 5 Bp hdc, 20 puff)

color 1 R11: The round is crocheted in the 3rd back loop only! *1sc in each stitch, skip the puff stitch* (100sc) color 1 R12: This round you crochet in the back loop only! Crochet 1sc in each stitch. (100sc) color 1 R13: Repeat round 12 (100sc) color 1 R14: Start with 1sc in a stitch, 3sc, 3ch, *4sc, 3ch* (100sc, 25 ch3)

color 3 R15. The round is crocheted only in the ch3 spaces! Start in the ch3 space with 8dc, *skip 4sc, 8dc in the ch3 space* (25x8dc) color 2 R16. Start in the 2nd dc of 8 with 1 Bp hdc, continue with Bp hdc in the next 5dc. Skip 2dc. *Bp hdc in the next 6dc, skip 2dc* (150 Bp hdc) color 2 R17 This round is crocheted in the front loop only! The back loops are left free for round 18. Start this round in the same stitch you ended round 16. 3sl st, 3ch, *6sl st, 3ch*’ Finish this round with 3sl st. (150sl st, 25 ch3) color 4 R18. Crochet in the back loop only in round 16. Sc in all stitches. (150sc) Color 4 R19. Crochet in the back loop only! Sc in all stitches. (150Sc) color 4 R20. Start with 1dc in a stitch, 1 dc in the previous skipped stitch = X-stitch. *Skip 1sc, 1dc in the next sc. 1dc in the previous skipped sc* (75 X-st) color 4 R21. *Crochet 2hdc in the space between 2dc in a X-st* (150 Hdc) Color 4 R22. Start in the 2nd stitch of 2, you crochet in the space between dc in a X-st, 1dc, 1dc in the 1st hdc = X-st, *Skip 1hdc, 1dc, 1 dc in the stitch you skipped* (75 X-st)

color 3 R23. Start in the space between 2dc in a X-st with 2hdc, *continue in next space in a X-st with 2hdc* (150hdc) color 3 R24. Start with 1sc, 4ch, skip 2stitches, *1sc, 4ch, skip 2 stitches* (50 ch4, 50sc) color 5 R25. Start in the ch4 space with 5dc, skip 1sc, *5dc in the next ch4 space, skip 1sc* (250dc) color 2 R26. Start around the first Bp hdc of 5 with 1 Bp hdc, continue with 4 Bp hdc, 1 sc in the sc from round 24. *5 Bphdc, 1 sc in the sc from round 24* (250 Bp hdc, 50sc) color 1 R27. *Crochet 1 Bp dc around each Bp hdc. Skip sc* (250 Bp dc)

color 1 R28. Continue this round in same stitch you ended last round. 2sl st, in the next stitch you crochet as follow: 1sl st-3ch- 1sl st. *4sl st, in the next stitch you crochet as follow: 1sl st-3ch- 1sl st.* Ended with 2ls st. (50 ch3, 300 sl st)
