SECRETARY: Mike Wright
DIRECTOR: Wayne Palmerton
RANCH MANAGER: Rich Regnell
*Movie Night happens EVERY Saturday Night beginning Memorial Day Weekend and ending Labor Day Weekend
Lastly, please leave the Ranch cleaner or better than the way you found it, treat everyone with the respect and dignity that you would want in return, be safe, and make MEMORIES that will last a lifetime! Rob, Terri, Wayne, and Mike- R Ranch Board of Directors
S pring has sprung and the weather man says things are warming up, the deer are in the mead-ows, work campers are arriving daily, the work on our pool is nearing completion, we have new horses in the barn, and Allison and crew are gearing up for some fun R Ranch activities. The new R Ranch manager, Rich Regnell, arrives the first week in April and he is anxious and excit-ed to start his work on the Ranch. The Ranch al-so has a full complement of maintenance, office and lodge staff but still looking for some pool at-tendants and part time wranglers at the stables. The re-coat of pebble tech and new tile in the pool was delayed at least 4-6 weeks due to the 200% annual rainfall we experienced this year in California, but is on schedule to open in May. Due to the Ranch staff’s proactive approach this fall to manage the rainfall, the Ranch suffered minimum damage. The snack bar rebuild is also on schedule with a rough draft rendering and a site survey currently being done. The architect’s conceptual drawing will be on display at the Quarterly meeting on April 15
th. We are still looking for “pool food” or
summer concessions such as food trucks. Any possible food vendors are welcome to contact the Ranch with their proposal of concessions for the 2017 season. When visiting the Ranch this Spring and in an ef-fort to save money, please make an effort to pick up any owner guest passes that are held in the office before the end of the year, as the Ranch will no longer accept the responsibility of holding onto guest passes. By June 1, 2017, all golf carts must be registered and removed from the golf cart storage area to the temporary storage area or your campsite. To register your cart, please drive your cart to the office to receive your regis-tration stickers. The recent passing of Jim Gondola, a dedicated R Ranch owner, volunteer, and Vice President has created a vacancy on the Ranch board. The board is currently seeking a viable candidate to fulfill that obligation until his term expires in Au-gust of 2017.
W e are happy to say that we have a full Maintenance Crew in place, and they have all been busy getting some of the much needed Maintenance work done.
3 cabins have been re-sided, with 6 more to fol-low for a total of 9 cabins in the plans to receive new siding. Several cabins will be getting the carpet replaced with vinyl flooring. We have a list of minor maintenance repairs needed in the Cab-ins, that they have also been working on and will be completing.
Some needed repairs in Employee housing have been completed, and/or are in the process of be-ing completed.
Efraim has been busy with Grounds Mainte-nance, and has been cleaning up the many trees and branches brought down in this winters storms. You will notice as you pull in to the Ranch that he has also been sprucing up the Ranch’s appearance by planting some flowers and bushes.
Our focus right now is having the Ranch ready for you for peak season. This includes a lot of paint-ing, cabin repairs, grounds maintenance and get-ting the pool ready.
As always if you notice any repairs and/or maintenance that needs to be addressed, please let us know by reporting to the office or filling out a work order.
R New Years Eve Party was a fun time for all, , the crowd was a bit smaller than usual, but that did not stop anyone from having a good time. We had a Prime Rib dinner again this year, which everyone enjoyed. Thanks to Corted & Gina Lee for their help and thanks to all of you who joined us to ring in the New Year! R Crab Feed brought in a good crowd and was once again a success. We thank you all for coming. Thanks to the following people who helped make it happen Gina & Corted Lee, Aiden Storck, Ranch Staff: Doug, Kenneth, Maria & Serena, who all helped out in the kitchen, Kelly’s (from the Lodge) Grandson Brandon did an awesome job at selling those raffle tickets, and “R” Servers did an awe-some job serving, as they always do. Thank you Austin, Aliyah, Makayla, Jayce, Anthony, and Cianna, for a job well done. Thanks to MaryAnn Hamilton, Nicole Mason, & Leah Monetti for their help with clean-up. Our St. Patrick’s Day Dinner also had an good turn-out, and was once again a delicious meal. Thanks to those who joined us. We are looking forward to another fun filled summer at the Ranch, and the fun we have planned for everyone this year. We hope you plan to a spend some time at the Ranch for some of the fun activi-ties and events we have planned.

WILD WEST DAY Stay tuned, information to be posted with the details for another fun filled Western themed event. Including some fun “barn yard” games and activities, golf cart rodeo, a chuck wagon style
BBQ dinner, line dance lessons and a barn yard dance, all set to happen on Saturday June 17th. A Carnival has been added as one of our events this year. “R” Carnivals are always a lot of fun, but also require A LOT of time for planning and preparation, it is set to take place mid-July, if you are interested in taking part in that please contact me at the lodge or by email [email protected]. I would like to remind everyone that volunteers are always welcome, and often needed in order for most of our Activities/Events to be possible, we will be reaching out to the Owners, asking for volunteers to help make our activities and events happen. Let us know when or where you would like to help! Lastly, I’d like to say that I hope you all have a won-derful summer enjoying YOUR ranch! Smile…..it’s contagious, wave as you are passing your fellow owners, introduce yourself to someone you have not met. Let’s have an awesome summer, making new memories. Allison & the Lodge/Activities Staff!

Please welcome John, Rich, Bob, and Frank to maintenance! Also Cathy and Lilly to the lodge/pool! We are working on improving our process for identi-fying upcoming tag expiration's, overstay related issues, and other common areas for improvement. While we will do our best to let you know if you are approaching any violations, it is still the responsibil-ity of the owner to know and plan accordingly to prevent violations. Please work with us to improve the experience for all! Thank you! In a continuing effort to find diverse communication tools to reach each and every owner, we are adding a robocall to our options. We look forward to using automatic calls to remind you of upcoming events, important announcements, volunteer opportunities, as well as bill reminders! With the first call, we will include the opt out option. We are excited to have yet another way to share ranch news to reach more owners in an efficient way. After a quiet but rainy winter, we have had time to revisit some common opportunities specifically in the RV rules. Please review the 30/60/90 day rules as well as the site to site policies to make sure there is a clear understanding of these guidelines. We will be working diligently to do our part to cor-rect violations and offer our support to all owners needing clarification. He is not quite here, however we are soon to wel-come Rich Regnell as our new Ranch Manager! He should arrive within the next week. We will send an update upon his arrival. Please introduce yourself to him and other new staff as you see them in pass-ing! We look forward to getting to know our new owners, reminiscing with veteran owners, and building a strong symbiotic relationship in our ranch communi-ty this season! See you soon! Your ROA Office Staff
