The Pool Committee met on March 4th. The pool will be opened
after April 18th if it is warm enough to begin heating the pool.
The pool at Ridge Oak was recently drained so the tiles could be
cleaned. The committee is developing revised pool and spa policies.
A new sign for CPR and another sign for Emergency information
will be purchased to replace existing signs. The committee devel-
oped a draft of pool and spa polices that will be presented to the
Board.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our Water
Aerobics Meeting on March 7th - as a group we worked on the
dates for our 2020 session and agreed to a slight time change to
accommodate our folks who also attend TaiChi class.
Since our meeting the Corona virus has made an immense
impact our Nation and on our day to day lives. We will follow
the guidance of Governor Newsom and our Board of Directors
as to when we may end self-quarantine and again enjoy the
company of our fellow residents of The Greens.
We had decided to begin our Water Aerobics 2020 Session May
2nd and end our Session on September 26th. We made a slight
time change to 9:45am to 10:45am – Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturdays.
Since all activities are suspended here at The Greens – we will
post in our Newsletter when the Session opening date is as
soon as we have one. We know that our health and safety is of
the upmost importance to everyone especially here in our
Community. Until then please use all the precautions to keep
you and your family healthy and safe.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone and enjoy our time
together in the pool.

The Greens Pancake Breakfast
The Men’s Club/2nd
Cup Committee held the first Pancake Breakfast of the year at
the White Oak Clubhouse on March 14th.
These breakfasts provide the community with an opportunity to meet and mix with
friends, meet new residents and have someone else make our breakfast.
The breakfast was prepared, as always, by the “legendary” Kitchen Crew.
The next pancake breakfast will be held at the White Oak Clubhouse in Septem-
ber.

As always, we want to extend an invitation to all residents of GREENS to check
out the club to see if you have an interest in joining. We meet every day for coffee
between 7:00 - 8:15 AM Monday thru Friday and 7:00 – 8:30 AM on Saturday.
The Clubhouses have been closed temporarily due to the Health Risks associ-
ated with the Corona Virus: we do not know how long the closure will take
but hopefully it will be a short time period and things can go back to normal.
The Pancake Breakfast was held on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Although the atten-
dance was down, but everyone had a good time.
We hope to see you there!

As we enter April, there is gloom over the entire world as well as The Greens with the
corona virus contagion. In our age group, we need to be especially careful to follow all
the guidelines to avoid infection. All functions have been cancelled for the near term.
The clubhouses, gym, pools and spas have closed. Hopefully, we can have everything
reopened and our activities back on track in the next couple of months.
The regular board meeting was held on Tuesday, March 10th. The following issues were
discussed:
A board training is scheduled for April 23rd. This may be postponed pending the
status of the corona virus self quarantine.
The Grounds Committee submitted a plan to deal with the sidewalk and curb damage
due to tree root growth. They identified 29 locations in need of repair and are solicit-
ing bids. There are a few Pistache Trees that need to be removed, but we hope to
retain most of them. Our mature trees add a lot to our community. The Grounds
Committee did an excellent job with this report and we want to extend our thanks.
Bob Joy is soliciting bids to install solar energy at our clubhouses. The hope is to
reduce our power bill substantially.
A year end party is being planned to thank the volunteers serving on our committees.
These people work very hard and are a key part of our success.
Vanguard Janitorial will be supplying labor to assist the Swimming Pool Committee
with setting up the pools in the spring. This should help save a lot of sore muscles
among the committee members.
New pool umbrellas have been ordered and should be here by March 30th.
The age verification process is coming up this summer This is a very important
process to keep our over 55 community status. Please comply with the instructions
that will be sent to you.
The next regular board meeting will be held Tuesday, May12th, 2020 at 4 PM.
Please stay safe over the next few months and let’s keep the corona virus out of The
Greens.
