Freshen up on best practices for Service Requests!

Maintenance plays a large part in our residents living experience, but before the maintenance staff can service your apartment, it starts with the office staff receiving the service request in person, over the phone or in writing. No matter how the service request is placed, one key to successful service requests is making sure the request is clear and detailed. Without detailed information maintenance can only guess on what needs repair. This situation creates frustration for the maintenance; possibly having them to return to your home several times, and the resident begins to feel they are not able to trust the team to fix their concerns the first time. So, be sure to let us know the correct building and unit, full name, location of the issue and what exactly is not working or broken.

Preventative Maintenance Tips

Mildew Control: Keep the light on in the bathroom for at least an hour after showers. This allows the moisture to be removed from the bathroom and prevents mildew. Also use your vent fan when cooking, it is on the microwave in most units and the range hood in some.

Spring is in the air! While we take the time to clean and dust and get rid of stuff, lets also think about the outside of our homes. Don’t let the overflow of throw out items sit at the front door or stored on patios and balconies. Make the exterior clean and tidy, let patios and balconies be used for what they are for patio furniture and small potted plants; entrance ways or breezeways should not be used for storing any of your household and personal items.

Patios, Balconies & Breezeways or Hallways

Balconies and patios shall be kept clean at all times. No rugs, towels, mops, laundry, clothing, appliances or other items shall be stored, hung or draped on railings or other portions of balconies and patios. Breezeways are to be kept free and clear at all times; only item allowed in the breezeways are the floor mats in front of your entrance door. Under staircases are not for additional storage or to be used a bicycle rack.

Reminder to all residents the gym is opened Monday to Friday – 9:00am-9:00pm.

Community meetings are every 4th Wednesday at 5:30PM

Dishwashers

Even if you do not use the dishwasher to wash your dishes, you must run a cycle on the dishwasher at least once per month.

Garbage Disposals

These are not meant for actual garbage or large sums of food. Please use your judgment when using the garbage disposal; large sums of food will cause backups and you may be charged. Also please make sure to place a few cubes of ice down the garbage disposal and run it monthly; this will help keep the blades sharp enough to run efficiently.
