McIntosh Manor Bed and Breakfasthasn’t changed all that much in the 100years plus that it’s been a guest house –and that accounts for much of its charm. Live oaks, a white rail fence, and greenhedge create a pleasing buffer from trafficon Hwy 17. Elsewhere on the grounds, amagnolia and camellias have grown largeand full, as they do after many decades. For its well-tended (but not overmanicured) old-fashioned exteriorMcIntosh Manor earned the January 2017Green Thumb Award. Congratulations toowner Sharon Townsend, who grew up inthe house, for maintaining much of theproperty’s look and feel from an earliertime.

Maggie and Leotis Palmer yardNo matter what time of year, the Palmers'yard is always meticulously maintained, clean, neat, the shrubs pruned andmulched just so, and the grass never toolong or too short.
